My 3-yr old grandson received this bubble machine as a birthday gift. He loves Mickey Mouse and watches Disney+ all the time and loves bubbles so it was a perfect gift from a relative (it seemed). I bought 2 more after the first one worked for only an hour, if that, bc I assumed the 1st one was defective (& it was a gift so idk where to return it), but he loved it so much I ordered 2 more for $20 each (50-100% over-priced) but he loves it til it stops working, both stopped working the day it was opened. I was hesitant to buy Disney again because I bought a non-Disney $50 Paw Patrol bed (plastic & metal) for when my grandson sleeps at my house, while my grandson has a $100 Disney wood rocket ship bed at his mom’s house. The Disney bed is beautiful (the Paw Patrol is cool too but he prefers Mickey). Then the problems started. He hurts himself on the wood constantly (rarely on the Paw Patrol bed) and the Disney bed slats that hold the mattress in place are so poorly made or designed or something, such that I have to adjust the Disney bed every 2 days to make it safe again or the mattress tilts which can be really dangerous (and once the parts come loose, good luck finding them or replacements (Disney?). That took a while to figure out so it was too late to return it (by 3 days). Yet, despite my concerns Disney charges about double for many items, but quality never seemed to be a problem before, I bought 2 more on Amazon Prime. The first one stopped working the same day it arrived (just like the one one he was gifted). The 2nd one I’ve hidden until I have time to try it (been reluctant to open it for my grnadson bc I want to see if it lasts more than a day or 2 with an adult using it bc kids rough on things. But as I say that, that's why Disney has to make things better, not slap a Mickey pic or whatever on junk and overcharge for it Disney (or I just have bad batch??). I was waiting to try the 2nd one I bought from Amazon bf I gave it to my grandson to make sure it works, but I just learned my return period ended 3 days ago. Only 30 days to return on Amazon? (usually more flexible and given only $20 each, I didn’t rush). . The losers are me (out $40+, my grandson who is begging for his ‘Mickey bubbles’. Now I’m stuck with 2 broken Disney bubble machines and who knows if the 3rd will work for more than an hour or two. C’mon Disney. Will Jeff or his company do something earthly to help this 3-yr old (or get Disney or the seller to provide him something to cheer that 3-yr old up like a working machine? I wrote this review in early August but apparently never sent it. The window for returns closed. This is a potentially beautiful toy that is a pice of junk (or a defective lot bc three broke, I replaced batteries but it does nothing. If the company will send me another or somwthing similar at no charge, I will try it out. If not, I am through buying Disney bc the prices are 50-00% higher for same or less quality. Disney is too “good” for that (I thought).
UPDATE: My grandson loves Disney toys. He is too young to know prices so he doesnt know Disney charges double for similar items, but Mickey is still a big draw to a 3-yr old. He was given a Mickey bubble machine in June’21 as a birthday gift. HE LOVED IT, but it broke after 1 or 2 uses. Since it was a gift and idk from where, I bought 2 (TWO) MORE MICKEY bubble machines. Both stopped working after 1 or 2 uses. He also has a Disney car and racetrack with a remote control. He loved that, but it broke after 4-5 uses. This is way too much money for poor quality, especially from a high quality company like Disney. If U (or Disney) want to make a 3-yr old happy, replace his bubble machines and racetrack. Disney has to do better. If this is a 3rd party seller, forward please to Disney. We’ll await a positive response. Otherwise, we will have to seek alternatives for a kid that loves DISNEY.
