Pros:
Great reach, clears large amounts of snow quickly (shorter brushes require more passes), clears large areas quickly (wide area requires fewer passes per surface)
Cons:
When it's cold out it can be tough to loosen and tighten when collapsing or extending the arm, the foam doesn't hold up great to partially melted and re-frozen, rough snow/ice layers - it can shred the edges a bit; if you lay the foam down on edge on carpeting in the car (or in the trunk) while it is wet, it can freeze to the carpet and leave behind some of the blue foam when you pick it up - it comes off, but that's kind of annoying.
The one that I used last year is a little chewed up from going over rough, partially melted and re-frozen snow or partially melted/frozen sleet. For the price, it feels a little flimsy or cheap, but gets the job done. Honestly, I don't know if I'd be able to go back to a brush with plastic bristles that fray and scratch at my paint. This just works so much faster and easier than a brush, I'll probably continue to buy them if mine wears out and donate my old ones to friends or local mechanics that have to clean cars off in the winter before bringing them into the shop. A little notched foam won't hurt the paint, it just doesn't look great. Should last a long time if you're careful with it.
Update: One of these that I bought recently broke almost immediately... the scraper broke off of the end of the handle. I wasn't even pushing hard on it, it's just a poor design. Anyway, I swapped that handle with my older one that had the ragged edges on the foam piece and gave the old foam piece w/no scraper on the handle to a local mechanic/junkyard.... and they love it! :) Super handy for clearing off customer cars to bring them into the shop if it has been snowing all day or if they dropped the car off the night before and it had snow piled up on it. - Phyllis KemperEase of useIt’s especially good for getting snow off the hood and roof of your vehicle.

One might last me a couple winters. Cute design too, long enough for me to clear off the top of my car as a shorter girlie
