Love MMc..honest and funny!I’ve always loved Matthew McConaughey, so I read Greenlights when it came out and I really enjoyed it. He is an interesting character. He has an honest, practical view of the world, that is mixed with a comical, upbeat outlook. His writing and speaking are lyrical in nature, so I knew I would enjoy this one. I love poetry and MMC, so how could I wrong? I plan to read it cover to cover, but so far, after just reading many of the poems, I really love it. The opening poem is absolutely fabulous. I can’t wait to read it cover to cover.

From the very first pages, this book completely drew me in. The story is written in a smooth and engaging style that makes it incredibly enjoyable to read. The characters are well developed and feel real, each with clear motivations and memorable moments.
What I enjoyed the most was the way the author balances emotion, reflection, and entertainment. The plot moves at a steady pace, with no filler chapters, and keeps your interest all the way to the end. It also delivers deep messages without feeling preachy.
Although I would have liked a bit more development in some secondary scenes, this does not take away from the overall quality of the book.
In summary: a highly recommended work for readers looking for an immersive, well-written story with something meaningful to say. McConaughey words are raw, vulnerable, unpretentious, heartfelt magic. A great actor who’s an exceptional writer. This book deserves 5 stars, a review and a recommendation.

He is a deep thinker and he says that some of this is from when he was really young so it may seem a little weird. Overall it is a quick read and fun book to read.

He likes pulling from opposite ends to find the middle where the secret ingredient lies - balance. In days of adversity when you have difficulty fighting the resistance in your life pick up one of his books and you are bound to find medicine for that condition or at the very least a different angle to look at things, that little perspective shift we all need at times that helps us recalibrate and find our purpose again.
