- Star MoonSlow, but good for emergencies!I recently got the opportunity to use this “AIRSURE Tire Inflator” on my SUV tire as my low pressure warning light came on! It’s compact enough to keep in my spare tire compartment for emergencies. It’s very convenient to have with me in case I notice a low pressure warning light come on in my car, and I’m not at home with access to a compressor.
It only takes a couple hours to charge the unit. The reason I took off a star is because it’s very slow!! Maybe I got a lemon, but it took me 5 minutes to inflate 10 PSI in my SUV tire that needed 20 PSI added. I got tired of holding the unit and just finished inflating my tire with my regular air compressor. The compressor filled my tire in seconds. I consider this AIRSURE Tire Inflator a last resort for filling a low tire. It just takes way too long. After standing there for a solid 5 minutes, I did notice one of the battery lights on the unit disappear. I’m thinking this unit will need to be charged after every fill. Filling an almost flat tire will definitely drain it’s battery. It just doesn’t have the power of a regular air compressor, so expect to stand there at least 5 to 10 minutes or longer.
Obviously, this portable tire inflator is better than nothing! It does function as it should and inflate my tires. The unit itself is good quality with a clear and simple display. It doesn’t weigh much, and I didn’t notice the unit getting hot to the touch like another reviewer noted.
I didn’t use this long enough to test the auto shut-off feature, but that is nice to have so I don’t accidentally over-inflate.
Overall, this is a handy device to have for low tire pressure emergencies. At around thirty-five dollars, it’s a great value. I plan to buy another one for my son’s car. - PalestiniankingDo not purchase air pumpTerrible item. Do not purchase
