- Sarah StebbinsAnother wonderful addition to the series!I just love this series!
This one finally sees Mac and Annie’s story - and what a story it is! I loved every minute of this book. The flipping between past and present only added to the tension as well as opened up these two characters we have gotten to know bits about through the previous book. This story was worth the wait!
All the happy, warm, and just overall feel good vibes of this series are so wonderful and this was no exception. Each book in this series just adds more and more to Dream Harbor and I am here for it all. - MollyGood BookThis was a cute book and another good edition in the Dream Harbor series. We knew from previous books that Annie and Mac were always fighting with one another, and that something must have gone down between them at some point. It’s in this book we find out that Mac broke Annie’s heart when they were teens and she never forgave him for it.
The story is told with dual timelines, chronicling their experience in the past and how things are currently going. It’s Logan and Jeanie’s wedding weekend and the present timeline takes place over a few days. I think it was necessary to see both times to better understand what happened and why Annie reacted the way that she did.
I was torn though, because I wanted Annie just to forgive Mac, but that might not be fair to Annie since he did hurt her badly. I don’t think Annie was unreasonable, but it was obvious at times that Mac was trying to apologize and she just kept shutting him down. I liked that she finally realized she was hurting him as well by doing that. I was so happy when they were finally able to talk and work things out.
No third act breakup

Contemporary - NtashaBRefreshing! These books are like corny Lifetime Christmas movies. Sappy but still so intriguing. It made me laugh. Annie is a hoot. Going back to the past gave great insight and made the story more romantic. I loved it and I’m excited to read more books about Dream Habor.
- Bee queensugary sweetAnother fun addition to dream harbor! Liked this one better than the Christmas tree farm. I enjoyed the slow burn tension between Annie and Mac. Mildly spicy. Fun holiday reflection story about how Annie and Mac met and why they have seemingly hated/loved each other for a decade!
- Katie WellsCute quick read!Cute, quick read! Annie is sassy and Mac left find himself. When he comes back to Dream Harbor many years later, will he and Annie be able to make things work? There is some spice and fireworks as they try to find out!!
- Sarah FortnerFavorite so far! These books are so fun. Yes, they are predictable. But sometimes you just need a light, fun read! This is probably by favorite book in the series so far. Loved learning more about these two characters!
- Rob FenstermacherWell spent money on for a giftMy daughter loves reading theses books to which she got for a gift this year
- BookDragonGirlA Comfy Huggable Small Town Romance!!I’ve LOVED reading every book from this series, each one was like a warm hug. Annie and Mac’s book was exactly that!
I loved these two, but especially Mac! They really grew through the years, but never stopped their feelings for each other. Annie really tried, or pretended. Annie still hadn’t developed humility by the end, but I can see Max getting her there.
Gilmore is the BEST!! She writes these stories about a small town, Dream Harbor, and its quirks and the kind, caring, sometimes weird, people who live there. It definitely has those Gilmore vibes that so many of us love!! I’m really looking forward to the next book, and I really don’t ever want to leave Dream Harbor!!
