- Gary TomlinsonSnug Seal, Hassle-Free InstallationI purchased this weather strip to seal a newly installed pet door on my sliding glass door, and it worked perfectly. The fit is snug between the glass and frame, installation was simple, and the roll provided more than enough length. The adhesive backing sticks securely and has held up well without coming loose. Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality and performance of this product.
- Anna WoodKeeps the cold air outThis worked perfectly on my front door. We got some of the sponge type weather stripping and it turned out too thick. Since I couldn't find any of that kind that was thinner I came across this and decided to try my luck and guess what. It works PERFECTLY!! The tape strip is perfectly sticky with strong adhesive but if you have a metal door I recommend warming the door with a hair dryer a little before applying this just because it will stick better. Kver all I give this 5/5 because it fixed exactly what I needed it to and it keeps the cold air out and was super easy to use. It cuts easily with scissors or a utility knife and installs in seconds
- JEFF BROWNbulk lightweight weather stripping,Not exactly sure what this product was intended for, however in my application I'm using it in an older house that the doors do not fit square and the door jambs. I have it going all the way around the door. So that when the door is closed it overlaps the door frame. Similar to the door sweep, that you would put at the bottom except this goes up the side and all the way across the top. It works fairly well so far, I've only had it going for about 3 months. It hasn't peeled or falling off. Just make sure that you clean the surface well. And it's free of all dirt oil grease doing nasty stuff Gunk and slimy things. I cleaned the edge of the door with rubbing alcohol before applying it. And just press it firmly into position, and then slowly slide your fingers down it with a wet towel, pressing so that it pushes the air bubbles out. It worked great got rid of the draft on my garage door that leads to my house, and on the side door of the house that leads to the outside. Both of these have a serious amount of air pressure on them, due to the design of the house and the prevailing wind. It on a cold day or a hot day you could feel air coming in around the door, this can block a gap of approximately a half inch. Most likely likely I'll need to replace it in a few months as it is a very soft material and conforms to surfaces easily. That being said also it will break down faster because of how flexible it is. I bought the longer of the two rolls they had, we had more than enough to do the doors and approximately a half roll left over this stuff is fairly thin I would say somewhere between the thickness of a penny and a dime. It was what I needed and it's doing its job. I would suggest you get it in a color that compliments whatever you're working with. I purchased the clear because it was cheaper. But I have noticed that I can see dirty fingerprints and grease and dirt. I would suggest you get it in white or black that matches whatever your door jamb is painted or it will at least work with it. Assuming you're going to use it in this application.
- BRExcellent WeatherstrippingThe TAROSE Weather Stripping (33 feet, 25mm width, black silicone) turned out to be a very effective solution for sealing gaps around doors and windows. The silicone material is soft, flexible, and long-lasting, which makes it easy to work with and much more durable than basic foam tape. It forms a clean seal without tearing or losing its shape, even when applied around corners or uneven surfaces.
One of the features that stands out the most is the strong adhesive. After cleaning the surface, the strip bonded instantly and stayed firmly in place, even with repeated opening and closing of the door. No peeling, no slipping — just a reliable, solid hold. This alone makes the product worthwhile for anyone looking to improve insulation or block drafts.
The 25mm width covers larger gaps very well, making it ideal for main entry doors, sliding doors, or older window frames where air often sneaks through. Once the strip was applied, the cold draft noticeably decreased, and the room felt more comfortable right away. It also helps soften door impact and reduces small noises, which is a nice added benefit.
Installation is simple. The strip cuts smoothly with scissors, and the roll provides a generous 33 feet, enough for multiple projects around the home.
Overall, this weather stripping delivers excellent performance in sealing, sound reduction, and insulation. It’s easy to apply, sticks securely, and offers great value. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a straightforward and effective way to improve comfort in their home. - Jeff EnglishIt’s ehIt does block wind but it also loses its stickiness and you have to constantly reapply it my door is steel
- Emily S.Wish I’d purchased years ago!We have a 110 year old home with front and back doors that have experienced movement and settling like the rest of the house. So naturally there are gaps where frigid air seeps through in Winter. This stripping seems so simple, but has been SO effective in putting an end to it.
After a full year with it, it has held up during the last bitter Winter and even though our muggy hot Summer with big temp swings. If you take the time to wipe the edge of the door clean first so it can adhere well, you won’t have any issues with it coming off or peeling.
It’s very firm, so it bends-back when you open the door, but then returns right back to form to create a tight seal. In fact, the seal it created is so “air tight” on our back door now, that you really have to put some muscle into it to open it! - Amazon CustomerTarose Weather Stripping is the absolute BEST!This weather stripping is amazing. I used it on my sliding patio door. In the cold, before installing the tape, I could literally feel the draft coming in, but once I installed this weatherstripping (which was very easy to install), there was absolutely no draft! Every little bit of insulation helps with energy bills, particularly for those of us living in cold winter climates. I highly recommend this weatherstripping!
