- David S.One roll at a time!Perfect stuff. Super sticky, easy to tear and apply, holds fast until it’s removed. No residue. It’s nice to be able to buy one roll, and not a whole case.
- John HallGreat tape - exactly what I expectedI bought this to hold 3D filament in place while I wind it onto a new spool. I had noticed that the filament manufacturers used tape like this. It holds well, but not TOO well. I want the filament to come loose when it reaches the end and not try to get into the printer. I tore a piece of tape but only inserted the filament under less than half of the width and it worked like a charm. The tape tears easily and cleanly. Sticks to plastic well, but comes off when I pull it off with little to no residue.
- King PellinoreGreat Gaffer Tape, but know what tape you need.Just what the name says: Gaffer tape. Not carpet tape. Not duct tape. Not overly sticky with a terrible residue, but sticky enough to get the job done. I used this kind of tape in hotels taping down audio/visual cables. If a reviewer says its not sticky enough, they are using the wrong tape! Stickier tapes use a gummier glue. Not what I wanted. I keep different kinds of tape for different uses. This is excellent for gaffing.
- DHNA World Wonder - This tape is GREAT!Gaffers tape is truly a wonder that the world in general doesn't know about. It had been a few years since I used it last and I had forgotten how nice it is to have tape that holds onto practically any surface, do it's job securing whatever you stick it to and then release when the project is complete without leaving a gummy mess on the surface. I bought two different rolls of this tape, one black and one white and both were great...I highly recommend! It's a little pricey, but I'll never use gummy, generic duct or "DUCK" tape again.
- LillieGood but double check next dayWe got this to put up the Christmas lights and to cover the walkway, so nobody would trip on the cord. It went on nicely but the next day you could tell some areas head lifted so we had to go back in there. The color was nice. The quality was nice. That adhesive is not as good as duct tape, but I didn’t want that super sticky feeling since I’ll have to clean it up after they are on for weeks.
- Josh MeredithQuality gaffers tape at a good priceI was doing A/V for an annual fundraiser, and used this gaffers tape for power cables, speaker cables, carpet runners, and even to tape an Apple TV to the wall, behind the TV. The tape held in all cased, and removed without leaving residue or damaging the surfaces. And the amount I got (30 yards) was pretty much exactly what I needed for a single event involving two PA speakers, a. mixer, and a couple of tv screens in a large room.. I wouldn't have minded having more, but I'd lose track of it between now and next year's event. I'll just buy another roll.

It's a perfectly good tape, but it's not gaffer's tape. It's stickier, so it will tear off paint on drywall. It doesn't leave a residue, like gaffer's tape should, so for sturdier surfaces it's fine. The adhesive is more sensitive to moisture than real gaffer's tape, though; any water seems to wreck it.
I'm giving it three stars because the title is an outright lie. It is not fabric based. You might call it a "nonwoven fabric" but I don't think it's really that either. It's a textured synthetic. I don't think the tape is porous at all, one virtue of Gaffere's tape. It does often tear in a straight line which implies some structure like fabric; but it often doesn't where gaffer's always does.
This mystery substance does not stretch or conform like gaffer's tape, and is not pleasant to touch like gaffer's.
I won't be ordering it again, but I do use it to save money where I don't need the quality of real gaffer's tape!
