Don't expect to hog out great swaths of material, it's a little baby, a ¾" bit is excessive. It's not a shaper ferchrissake! But, if you need to work on a vertical surface, to mortice for small door handles for instance, it's perfect. It would be better if the on off switch was placed where your hands are to hold it anyway, but it still works. - My Dog Murphy says.....Get this!I think I got this as a refurbished unit on sale. Looks and works like new. I love it. I use it to rout bodies for electric guitars ( control cavities, binding channels and truss rod channels, etc. ) couldn't be happier as it works perfectly.

- mmsj666Performs just like my full size Porter Cable used it withUsed it with the Craftsman door hinge jig on some interior doors. The base was too small for the jig and it kept rocking durring my no power test. It would likely gouge my door. But it was a easy to make one from some 1/4 inch melamine panel. And easy to install it on the XTR01Z using the same factory screws. Worked like a dream. Definitely worth the price.
- Mark W. IngallsWho needs a zip saw?Bought for a job that wanted zip blades. (Added a collet reducer.) But I can also mortise hinges, round over trim, trim laminate, … MUCH BETTER than a crap-tastic rotary saw.
