- C.S.Pros & ConsI have bought several different kinds of these super adorable painting kits. Most of them are decent and most come with very cheap quality paint that I end up giving away to a little kid.
Cons: The paint is cheap, it’s slightly better than most of these painting kits have but it’s very low grade student quality. The colors are very basic and not highly pigmented at all, they are very low pigment for watercolor.
The price for this set is on the higher side.
TIP: If you want some excellent quality watercolor paints that are very cheap, check out the Camel watercolors. Also the name brand watercolors like Windsor & newton and others have good quality student grade, but the Camel is the best price for good quality watercolor.
I used the camel brand to fill my pallet because the paint is so much better.
Pros: Everything else is pretty good quality. The pallet is good and well made and will last. The clip is strong, the water brush is cheap but works well.
The cotton wrist band to wipe off your water brush to change colors is handy but tight and will be too snug on a large wrist, but you can still use it. The watercolor book is good, not sure if the paper is actually cotton. The pages are thinner than regular watercolor but they hold the paint well, and you get lots of pages. You can even paint or draw on the cover.
This set is small and super cute and you can bring it with you and paint every day.
