The instructions were clear, results came back in around 15 minutes, and I really appreciate that it tests for both COVID and Flu at the same time. no need to guess what symptoms might be. The kit feels reliable and well-made, and having 4 tests included is a huge bonus for families or repeat testing. Definitely gives peace of mind during cold/flu season. Took these this morning after feeling a little sick and wanting to make sure I wasn’t positive for COVID or flu before going to visit a relative who was recovering from surgery.
I got faint red lines on both tests in the Flu B section. I immediately booked an appointment at my urgent care and got a test there a few hours later which came back negative. I then stopped by Walgreens and got a third test brand that was also negative.
I checked reviews and saw that others had faint RED lines in flu B section of test… I hadn’t read the instructions carefully enough to notice the first time that valid results in Flu B should be a BLUE line. So, I called Abbott/Binax customer service and they confirmed that the test should be deemed invalid due to RED lines in flu B.
I have wasted so much time and money running around due to this confusing and faulty test. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE. - JenniferGreat kitAs a medical laboratory scientist I can trust Abbott products. It’s very important to follow the directions. Feeling flu-ish I tested and it gave an immediate Covid positive result. Very convenient!

I got my results in about 15 minutes just by following a few simple steps in the manual. The instructions are really clear with helpful pictures, so it’s hard to mess up. Overall, I’m really happy with this test!

- JessicaThey are defective!For starters both caps had these white pieces inside them so nothing would come out the first tube turned to gel and the test wouldn’t even fill. So for the second test I popped the white piece out of the next cap and then the test didn’t even register the four drops. There was no more liquid. These are a waste of money just go to Walgreens and get a test.

- Jerry ELiquid does not reliably reach control lineI am a retired physician with lots of experience using these tests. I have used two of the four tests in the box I got. The first test did not look like the liquid would reach the control area by 10 minutes, but did. Control was positive. Today's test never made it to the end, so the control was not wet and the test was useless.
I called Abbott using the number on the instructions and explained my experience. They asked numerous but necessary questions to make sure I did everything right. I asked if they had had other complaints like this. The rep said no. Yet, I see that several users here have complained of the same problem. I strongly recommend that anyone with an issue with this test or any other, call the company and tell them. This does everyone a favor and lets the company know there is a problem. The number is on the instructions sheet. Have it and the box handy when you call. They will be asking for various numbers on the box and instruction sheet. They will likely send you a fresh replacement, as they told me they would.
