This ukulele will work okay if you are not sure that you will actually spend time learning to play a ukulele, and/or just need something cheap to practice on for a start. It is not performance worthy, it is cheaply made as the price suggests.
It doesn't hold its tune well. I have had to retune it about every 5min or less while playing on it. It will probably hold the tune better over time, but it doesn't tune well in the first place. It does not have a beautiful tone: just passable.
The spacing between frets is faulty as well as there is not a perfect half step each fret.
The A string in particular on mine. The open A sounds okay, but every fret is 1/4 step sharp! So the chords never sound right. - MaryN/AIt was a birthday present for my granddaughter and she loved it!
