The texture is smooth but grippy and being an Apple product you know the fit and finish is top notch.
I have never dropped my phone (yet) but I don't think this case will protect from dropping on very hard surfaces but I could be wrong.

I’ve gotten these Apple silicon cases for previous phones, but this one feels so much sturdier. MagSafe always works perfectly when charging so no complaints here. As always, love how the camera lip is raised up so the lenses are always protected from hitting the table. This is definitely worth the buy when it’s on sale.
