- PH_BrewerIt works, but wonder if rated wattage is correctI wish I could give 4.5 stars simply because I was so far on the fence about rating a 4 or 5. If it could be proved that the larger burner does in fact push 1200W as noted (and not from the label, I don’t trust them on brands that haven’t been around long), I would probably bump back up to 5 stars.
I frequently host dinners and one that everyone loves is Hotpot. I normally use my single-burner 1800W burner except when we need two different pots running at the same time. I found this one and using it as needed and not mounted.
The first time using, I place the same pot I always do on the large burner, and a small pot on the smaller burner. I set the heat at 6 (about ¾ power) on the large one and warm on the small. Normally on my single-burner, I set the heat at medium and it takes about 5 minutes to start boiling again. Since this one is 600W less than the other, I figured ¾ would be close. After about 8 minutes, it was hot but still not where it should be. I then bumped it to max and even activated the “Peak” button, which is supposed to throw extra power. After about 6 minute (14 total), it was just below a simmer. Ok, something’s odd. I turned off the small burner (even though it wouldn’t be necessary since the burners are noted as independent), no difference, but I expected that. After about another 5 minutes (19 total), it was at the boil I was waiting for.
I’m by no means an electrician but know that the total power cannot exceed a certain point on a 110V plug or your risk tripping the breaker. Since the max it “could” put out is 2000W, I would think it would be configured (similar to a power-hub, or multi-battery charger) that if the small burner isn’t used, then the larger one could “borrow” the additional 800W, but I don’t think that is the case here.
Outside of its main purpose, the aesthetics are really nice – rubber feet, cleanly laid out glass and display. Easy to press buttons, non-induction burner, and a series of power levels plus a timer and Keep Warm.

- PeterFunctional but had some kind of odorThe product was light weight and delivered with no issues. Instructions were straight forward for setting up but the touch controls were a bit confusing to use.
Once set up, I then turned on to test it out with pot of water. It heated the water there was a chemical smell of plastics or something burning. It was to the point my wife smelt it upstairs.
