- J JacksonGreat for squirrelsI put these in a squirrel feeder mixed with their food to distract them from my regular bird feeders. It has worked wonderfully. The smell is strong so mixing it with a cheaper blend of food transfers the smell. No shells to worry about. They are pellets.
- RichardGood value for suet, birds like itThis is called a woodpecker blend yet has similar ingredients to C&S's other "suet peanut" offerings. Since this one is the least expensive, we settled on it. My 90 yr old mom goes though a box every 3-4 weeks and I go through a little less (but have fewer feeders). All the birds seem to like it, especially as the cold settles in. The high fat is good for the birds when it's cold and these peanuts are much more convenient and sized to measure, blend and mix into standard feeders. Always appears fresh and comes in a re-sealable plastic bag to stay that way. C&S is a quality brand.

I love to ensure they are in my feed mix in the winter especially when the fat is suet is so beneficial for the birds. They come packed in a ziplock bag to keep them soft and fresh. The appearance of to be similar to the ones we were buying at the stores yet buying the bulk box they are cheaper without sacrificing quality.
