You'll notice a lot of little things as you unpack it, which speak to the careful design, construction and shipping. There is a warning on the box, not to use a knife to open it. There is a thick protective piece of cardboard under the top flap, in case you disregard the warning. The parts are carefully wrapped with plastic, with protective cardboard on any corners which could be damaged in shipping. Most products give you a simple Allen wrench - this one gives you a very nice wrench with a plastic handle. The hardware is well labeled and blister packed. There are extra bolts - packaged separately to avoid confusion - in case you lose something. The components are well finished and seem to be high quality. The assembly is straightforward and the instructions are clear. Parts where the orientation could be confused are marked with "front" arrows. The only thing I can criticize is that the type in the instructions is too small. This is a pretty good chair and a great deal!
