Top reviews from the United States
- RayGreat for small round wick candlesI know some users have reported using this paraffin oil in flat wick lantern and oil lamps with great results, but technically you should not do that, as it is too thick to properly wick up the....wick lol. I use this oil for liquid candles that use regular round wick like 1/16. 1/4, 1/8, 3/16. etc..etc.. I use lamp oil for flat wicks which is not liquid paraffin. For the correct use in my liquid candles, this liquid paraffin oil has worked perfectly. It's a bit pricey for what it is in my opinion, but this was about the best priced one. It has burned clean and has not had any unpleasant smells in use as long as my wicks have been properly trimmed. I have read some reviews where people complained about the smell, but I question if they have had the wicks properly set and trimmed because I have had no such problems. Paraffin oil has worked fine in what I have use them in which has been refillable glass liquid candles, and homemade jar liquid candles.
- GriffWorks greatWorks great, essentially odorless. Burns well. It does freeze at like 40 degrees though, so don't plan on using it outside in the cold. Seems like good stuff.
- Daniel chritzGood Product Good pricesmokeless odorless burns well
- Michaelgreat value for oil, A must for any old oil lamp or lantern collector.Great deal for a lot of lamp oil. Filled all my collection of old oil lamps and lanterns and still have some left. Will say the opening on this is huge so it made it a little tricky to pour slowly and avoid spillage. Very high quality level oil though with very low smoke and great burn quality and time. No odor and pleasant burning from this oil.
- Jason M CarterClean burning and smellBurns clean, low odor, great value, pour spout leaves something to be desired.
- BrockyQuality low-smell lamp oilI have about a half dozen Aladdin lamps with the round wick. I like to have them in working condition and to keep them running like a finely tuned Porsche. I tried burning crappy lamp oil that I’ve had around for a few years. After lighting the lamp I could immediately see carbon building up on the wick and the carbon embers on the edges of the wick and yellow flames that can destroy a frail and expensive mantle. The embers on the wick continued to smolder after blowing out the lamp, along with a strong kerosene odor.
The key to keeping these lamps running well is to keep the wick trimmed and burn a good quality oil. This product fits the bill. In a clean burning lamp, which burns with a blue flame, there is little odor with this product. There is a slight odor after blowing the lamp(s) out but it is much less pronounced than it is with a poor quality oil. - Olen James BullardLamp oilHappy with delivery time, works good
