- Richie Goldman (aka Curmudg)Terrific!!Yes, parts of this are LOL funny, but there is so much more to this book. A wonderful story of friendship, love, and yes, death. Told elegantly, with pathos and passion. One of the best books I've read in a very long time. BRAVO!!!!
- Susan HaneyWorth readingA wonderful story full of fun, laughter, sadness, tears and reasons to live life with joy.
- Bonnie CLoved, loved, loved this book!Kenney accomplishes the amazing achievement of writing a novel that is hilarious and yet profound. To be able to make the reader laugh and cry in the same novel is remarkable. The characters were vivid, unusual and endearing each in their own way, reminding us that what appears on the social surface covers the stresses and fears we all have in common, including the grand mystery of our lives---how we will die. Thank you for this novel. Can't wait for the next one!!
- Julie BisbanoPoignant & HilariousTouching and raw with belly laughs, this book will draw you in, make you think, wrap you in its imagery, and leave you better than you began.
- C JohnsonLOVE LOVE LOVE this book!John Kenney slays with his wit and humor and simultaneously tugs at the heart strings. What a treasure from start to finish. A perfect gift for the holidays!
- Jim Stockwellnot for meAn amusing book, but it’s not really for me. Too little happened. I threw in the towel at page 52.
- KimberlynA Review of I See You've Called in DeadI thought this book would be more serious. I'm glad it wasn't because the subject of death can be serious enough. I liked the main character, Bud Stanley. I wish I could be as deadpan funny as him. Maybe I could if I just gave my permission to blurt out everything I was thinking. Could get me fired though. Like Bud was. Anyway, good read. I would recommend to a friend.
- Kindle Customerbrilliant writerA wonderful read. First laughter and then tears. A life lesson. Kenney is a thoughtful and talented writer. Highly recommend this novel.
