- LeftyGreat inlet kit, easy to install! Be prepared in an outage!I ran 6/3 NM-B to a 50A breaker and interlock kit into the basement service panel, also used 1 inch PVC and conduit body with liquid tight connector for the exterior. Did bore out the connector access hole in the box inlet a bit to accommodate the 1" liquid tight connector, but it was worth the extra time with the oversized pvc to get that heavy 6/3 NM-B through. Sealed it all up with all purpose pvc cement and a bit of silicone at the house inlet. Everything works great, had an outage just the other night and paired with generator we had the only power in town. Keep your cable in warm storage so it's easier to work with in the cold! You won't regret installing this, heavy duty and durable, big enough to run most of the house power demand at once.
- NICK M.High quality 50 amp Cord and BoxThis Vevor 50 amp outlet box and cord are very high quality. The cord is made up of three 6 gauge cables and an 8 gauge ground cable. This is a very thick and Heavy cord. Beware of other manufacturers cords that do not share their wire gauge size. Many cords are sold that look big but only have thick insulation and very small wires such as 8 or 10 gauge. I can run my whole home with a 13,000 watt generator and the cable won't even get warm to the touch. The 90 degree end that plugs into the generator has a big handle to help plugging in or unplugging and has really nice copper terminals. The end of the cord that plugs into the box has a threaded ring that spins freely so hooking up the cord is as easy as possible. The 50 amp house box is quality built out of steel with a gasketed plastic cover that flips up and stays in place for easy use. All wires tightened up nicely and held firm. I had no issues with stripped threads or screw heads like some others have stated. Everything is very nice quality. You will not have any problems with the fasteners unless you severely over tighten something. Some people have stated that the terminals in the box are loose but that is not the case. Once all your wires are installed and tightened the terminals will be very stable at this point. The generator cord easily attaches to the box, it lines up with the terminals perfectly and easily twists to lock it in place. Once in place the cord retention ring screws in place with fine threads. You won't have to force anything. If you do have to force anything, you are doing something wrong. One thing I will mention is make sure this 90 degree plug will fit your generator. The plug interferes with my HFreight Predator Generator side cover. It was no big deal but I will have to modify my generator side panel so it will fit flush. This is a me problem not a Vevor quality problem. All and all I fully recommend this Vevor 50 amp Cord and Box.
- Woolval50 Amp cable is a good heavy duty cable. Box is also good.Im using this to connect my Sungold 10KW solar inverter (thru a RV Outlet panel with circuit breakers) to my Reliance Controls 10 Circuit 50A Transfer Switch. I was able to mount the receptacle box to the transfer switch, then connect the 25 foot cable to it. It is working better than expected! Good cable, very heavy duty and capable of my solar inverter 50A output.

- Nick19Good box and cord at a steal of a priceThis is a good generator inlet and cord at a great price. I really like the carrying bag, it gives you some place to actually put the cord when not in use.
I rated 4 stars because I uninstalled this box about 3 weeks after installing it to replace my siding, and the lugs had worked themselves loose. Not totally loose, but noticeably. This worried me... I cranked them down extra tight when I put everything back together, but it did make me question the quality of the lugs. They're phillips drive which somewhat lessens the torque you can put on them when you tighten them down. Having a Phillips/flat combo would be nice.
The cord plugs into the box well, I've already had to use this twice (we lose power lots) and had no issues with the cord staying in. I also appreciate the green light letting you know power is flowing, even though it's not super necessary.
You can pay this price for just a 50 amp cord, so this is a solid deal! - David PetersGreat ValueI installed the box using 3/4" PVC. The box is heavy streel with punch outs on all sides, bottom, and back. Very pleased with the value and quality of product.
