- Water GalSerial Killers BewareThe Joanna Brady Mysteries are fast moving and easy to read. J. Jance keeps the reader intrigued with the turn of every page and the characters are all supported of each other. She also does a good job of referring back to other stories in the series
- Reading in Morgan HillGreat read.I am a fan of the books of J.A. Jance and have been for years! The Brady series is a favorite of mine.
Beginning this book with the murderer's first crime was amazing. You could just see him building on his crimes as time goes by. Well done!
I love how the author shows Joanna dealing with her family, the crimes, and the community. Everything just fits together.
The mystery was more of how seemingly disparate crimes and locations could be pulled together to find the perpetrator. A really good read. - Sid's Old LadyGood Author to readPretty Good Read, kept me entertained.
- SusieGripping! This is a great story. Its hard to imagine anyone so evil. But this world is full of them. This book was hard to put down.
- Kindle CustomerAnother great read from JANCE!This story was so compelling from start to finish. As I have read many of the Brady books, I feel that Joanna has matured into a great law enforcement person, but someone who would be a good friend to know personally. Keep this series going!
- Amazon CustomerWhat a page turner!!Sheriff Brady and family are like family to me. Through the years we've been there with all the growing up, from Jenny as a small child to a newly hired deputy sheriff. Among all the books, the lives have intertwined with the mysteries that provide the crux of each book. This book covers many decades of a serial killer, not in gruesome detail, more in the result of his actions. More focus is on what drives him, and how he avoids being a suspect. Eventually it falls into Sheriff Brady's area of responsibility. This book is so well written, you are right there helping the Sheriff! I started the book the day it was released and couldn't put it down! Now I have to wait for the next book!
- S. R. HooverBeware the TeacherI'm giving away nothing when I tell you the teacher did it, because we know from the beginning that he is a psycho who enjoys murder. I particularly like the way the teacher's history Is reflected: scattered stories between the chapters of the ongoing investigation into the murder that eventually catches him. Jance always writes strong stories, clearly defined characters, and great denouement. This book is no exception. Although I would not want to have to choose the best among Jance's books about Sheriff Joanne
Brady, I would have to say this would be very near the top. - Barbara KramerAlways a good readIt was a great story and the chacters seem very real.looking forward to more JA Jance stories ..maybe her daughter should have her own series
