- AStricklinCANNOT get it openI believe this is a good product. The packaging is a nightmare. I'm used to opening industrial containers. I've tried a heavy flathead screwdriver, a wedge, a chisel, and a pry tool. No go. Tonight, I got out a razor sharp chef's knife and, with a lot of force, was able to get it through the top and cut open a small triangle near the edge of the lid. Big enough for me to pour it an empty kitty litter bucket. Never got the lid off. I can't rate the product, itself. We had ice and snow for a week, but I wasn't able to get it open to use it.

- BreeImpossible to open - don’t buyAbsolutely awful packaging! I was able to get the very hard plastic piece around the top off uses pliers and all my strength. Getting the tabs pulled up was impossible. Tried hammer and screwdriver, gloved hands, tried to cut open the top, nothing. I certainly bought the wrong product during and ice storm. I wasn’t able to use it. Save yourself frustration and purchase a different product.
