Say You'll Remember Me

Top reviews from the United States

  • Incredible Read!
Say You’ll Remember Me is one of those rare novels that lingers with you long after you turn the final page. From the opening chapter, I was completely immersed in the richly developed characters and the raw, emotionally charged storyline. The author masterfully weaves together romance, heartbreak, and hope in a way that makes the book nearly impossible to put down.

The connection between the main characters feels authentic and effortless, making it easy to root for them through every obstacle they face. I especially appreciated how the story dives into deeper themes like redemption, second chances, and staying true to who you are, all while maintaining a heartfelt and engaging plot.
The writing is vivid and emotionally resonant without ever feeling overwhelming, and the pacing kept me hooked from beginning to end. It’s the kind of story that makes you smile, tear up, and reflect all at once.

If you’re a fan of emotional contemporary romance with strong characters and a meaningful message, Say You’ll Remember Me is a must-read. I can’t recommend it enough! It’s a story that truly stays with you. ????????
  • Brilliant Author, Slightly Slow Romance
I was once again mesmerized by how gifted Abby Jimenez is in her writing. She has a rare ability to craft emotion, create depth, and pull readers into the world she builds. Say You Will Remember Me absolutely showcases her creativity and the beautiful way she brings stories to life.

The reason I didn’t give this one a full 5 stars is because at times I felt the pacing was a little slow, and I found myself somewhat disconnected from the characters. The story dedicates a lot of time to family issues, which, while meaningful, left the central romance feeling less grounded. I also missed seeing the characters interact more in the real world—most of their connection builds within the confines of an apartment, and I wished for a bit more outside-world development to balance it.

That said, I understand the intention: the story was centered around the barriers and distance that love often has to overcome, and Abby delivered that theme with heart. And I cannot finish this review without emphasizing that Abby Jimenez is, without question, an incredibly creative and truly magnificent writer. Her talent shines through every page, even when the story takes a quieter path.
  • My favorite Abby Jimenez book (so far)!
This book was a love story, but that was not the main story, even though it was an epic love story! It was a story about multiple family generations living together and coming together as a team to help take care of a woman (the wife, daughter, mother and grandmother to them all) who was suffering from early-onset dementia in her early 50's, so that she could stay in her home as long as possible. It was a story about overcoming childhood trauma and abuse to become a better person than your parents were. It was a story about animal rescue and how even the little things can make a difference. It was about finding your "person" and when you do, making it work even when it feels impossible. I truly loved this book, and it did the three things that made it one of my favorite books: 1. It made me cry (sometimes tears of joy, sometimes tears of sadness) 2. It made me laugh (even with the serious topics covered, there were so many funny moments) 3. It taught me something about dementia (of course I knew what dementia was before reading the book, but I personally didn't know anyone who has had to deal with someone with early onset dementia, my personal knowledge was only with my own or friends and colleagues with older family members with dementia). I gave it five stars! I could not believe my luck to find it already on Kindle Unlimited after just being published this year, and even though I had been considering cancelling my Kindle Unlimited subscription, because I had been buying more books per month than I want to, in order to finish a series that I had started, finding this book on there made me decide to keep it!
  • It was ok
    3.5 stars.

This was a beautiful story. Definitely not in my favorites of this authors. I loved the characters and the story itself. I just felt like it dragged doom for too long. I could not force myself to read it. I rarely take this long to read a book unless I just have no calling to it. 3/4 in and I almost gave up. It was pretty predictable and was really moving in no direction. The beginning was amazing I was super excited and then it just stayed pretty lateral. Was a let down but I know other ladies who absolutely loved it.
  • Beautiful!
“They say that you won't remember what someone said, but you'll always remember how they made you feel. “

I loved this story. It was heart breaking and heart warming over and over again. I LOVE Xavier! What a perfect book boyfriend! And Samantha was so funny! Love these characters!!

The representation of dementia and what the family and her mother is going through was so real and heart breaking.

—“I wish you could have met her," I said, almost to myself.
    "I'd like to."
I felt my smile fade. "Even if you do, you never will." —

—"That there is nothing more beautiful than being a witness to someone's life. To know them inside and out and be with them through everything, share the same memories. Memories are everything.”

—“I'd taken recognition for granted my whole life. The way it lights someone up, how it can speak to you without a word across a crowded room. That split second of raw reaction when you're seen and known. Relief, joy, happiness at locking eyes with someone you were looking for or seeing someone you didn't expect. I'd never see that on Mom again.”
