Duet MultiCast Narration - Connor Crais & Emma Wilder joined by Teddy Hamilton, JF Harding, Jason Clarke, Stella Hunter, & Samantha Brentmoor
Such an amazing cast. This group of fabulous narrators did a wonderful job bringing this hilarious and sweet RomCom to life.

Graydon is a pro football player and a grumpy ass he has one friend, he focuses solely on football all the time. He has found himself the spokesperson for his team trying to gain popularity and get more fans. His team owner along with other sports teams have decided to join forces with the local zoo. Graydon is not happy to say the least. He is so rude and grumpy to the sweet Maple and her flamingos. Don’t worry he will redeem himself.

Maple works at the zoo taking care of the flamingos and their habitat. Which is lacking compared to other animals enclosures. We first meet Maple in Bridesmaid undercover she is Hardy’s ex girlfriend from college (I think) and just the sweetest character. I love her so much. I cried with her in a couple points of this book.

This was such a fun read with deep emotions as well. Meghan gives a a fantastic romantic comedy. There is humor but also Graydon is dealing with some deep trauma as well. Maple will support him and she does not give up on him. This PR relationship turns real and they have some cards stacked against them
But the come out strong in the end.
  • Maple & Graydon
I listened to this on audio and had the BEST time. Meghan Quinn is in her hilarious, over the top era and somehow makes it work every single time. This one had me genuinely laughing out loud, swooning, and kicking my feet over a grumpy football player who never stood a chance against a goofy, flamingo loving zookeeper.

The audiobook is a full multicast DREAM TEAM, and the performances absolutely elevate the banter, tension, and slow burn chemistry. It’s spicy, sweet, ridiculous in the best way, and pure rom com chaos. Fake dating, forced proximity, a real grouchy grump, and a sunshine FMC who steals the show — I was fully entertained from start to finish.

???? Early audio listen & highly recommend this one in headphones.

    Tropes ????
    • Grumpy MMC (mean ish, broody, allergic to feelings)
    • Sunshine FMC (goofy, sweet, flamingo girl supremacy)
    • Fake dating for PR ????
    • Forced proximity (AT A ZOO???)
    • He falls first (and HARD)
    • Public tension / private yearning
    • Slow burn ➝ big spice ➝ bigger payoff
    • “Why do I care???” spiral
  • Go for the audio!
????A grumpy NFL star, Graydon St. John, and a sunshine zookeeper, Maple Baker, find themselves in a fake PR romance. All of this is happening under the watchful eyes of flamingos and cameras. As always, the story features sharp banter, sizzling tension, and feelings that can’t help but become real.
Graydon reminds me a lot of Roy Kent from Ted Lasso. There is another reference to this TV show, but I will not spoil it. Maple is a fantastic character; she handles situations with maturity, empathy, self-awareness, and a calm understanding.

????I love listening to Meghan Quinn’s books on audio, and this one was no exception. The full cast made the experience even better. Even though I received the ALC, I decided to purchase a copy of the book. It’s quite thick! I hadn’t realized how long it is because the audio just flew by. That said, I’m not sure the length would deter people who prefer shorter reads.
  • Phenomenal
    Phenomenal.

Just for the Cameras is the grumpy x sunshine story I didn’t know I needed and I cannot wait for the next book in the Bay Area Players series. Graydon and Maple’s story had me rooting for these love birds the entire time. It’s insane that this book is 600ish pages because I absolutely devoured it. The banter was A+, the thirst traps and Gladdy Daddies? Absolutely amazing. Another touch down of a love story by Meghan Quinn.
