5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Incredible!!!

I was sooo intrigued by Darcy when we met him in The Husband Hoax! And Wren when we met him in Up in Flames. I pay close attention to side characters now, because they tend to pop up in their own books in the Saxon/Eden world (which I love). I especially loved Darcy and was hoping he would get his own story and here we are!

These two are soooo perfect for each other. I had know idea how they would get together or how the story would end! I always have all the faith in Saxon and Eden that however the story goes, we will get a happy ending. But this one had me on the edge of my seat the entire story. I cried, sobbed for them. Their love for each other is sooooo beautiful and yet Darcy felt so constricted to his obligations, he put everyone before himself and Wren! But have no fear, Wren will come through and hero the heck out of Darcy!

????Stepbrother Romance
????Billionaire Romance
????Secret Relationship
????Forced Proximity

Quote I loved: “I don’t wish I knew how to quit you,” I whisper. “I wish I knew how to make you mine.”

I was already crying and then I read this quote and the crying tuned into sobbing. I love these two guys together and separately. Darcy and Wren will constantly put your heart in a blender, repeatedly hit pulse and you will be so sad, but again have faith that every story has a hero and for me, that hero is Wren, a man so in love he will do anything to save the day!

I am a huge Saxon/Eden fan! But this book was different to me than anything they wrote and it is soooo incredible! It shows how these two can write everything together! They bring you so much entertainment in their stories. The heart and soul they leave on the page is soooo beautiful. Every book I read of theirs blows me away! I finish a book of theirs and instantly feel like the characters are my new favorite, but I say this for all their books, because the way they write is incredible.

I love these two authors writing together. It had some angst, snark and steamy moments. Loved seeing the side characters. It was great story and I loved how they came together in the end!

5.0 out of 5 stars Mildish Angst, Great Spice, Looots of Love!

This book was everything I'd hoped for after meeting Darcy in the Husband Hoax and Not Dating Material and then meeting Wren in Up In Flames. I felt so many things for both of these boys and Eden and Saxon made it so easy to fall in love with them both and hurt for them both on their way to an HEA. This was definitely one of the angstier books that I've read by either Eden or Saxon or a co-write. But it was soooo worth it in the end. And on a scale of no angst and the angstiest angst to ever angst, I'd say this was a 2 out of 5. There were definitely some laugh out loud moments, some moments that made me want to scream and moments that made me cry.

Darcy was infuriating in the best way. He has such a huge heart and cares so much about other people, but with the weight of the world on his shoulders and the huge, big, terrible secret that he feels he has to keep, it's no wonder that he's just shut everyone out. Then there's Wren, who grew up surrounded by love and family and security. Of course, he grew up without a father, but his mother and his family filled in all the little gaps. Even though he hurts because of it, he knows how to love and receive love because of this support.

The way these two fight against what they're feeling and the internal monologue they have while they're grappling with it is both sad and comical and several times had me screaming at the book (especially at Wren isn't privy to what Darcy knows, because my screaming the truth at him was going to help). And I frequently wanted to jump through the pages and punch their brothers out and take Darcy's mother down. Thankfully, Eden and Saxon made sure everything worked out the way it was supposed to for all the characters involved, with such a sweet sweet ending; including a cameo by a well loved Puckboy at the end. I'm hoping his cameo is maybe foreshadowing of a novella that might come out of it…puuuuhhhlllleeeease!!

All in all, I very much enjoyed this book. With all the ways they could have come to their HEA, I'm really happy with the way it was written. And the epilogue! Holy smokes it was just perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed this, as I do all of Eden's and Saxon's work.

3.0 out of 5 stars good story

I have read a bunch of books by these authors and I have to be honest this wasn’t as good as my favorites. Don’t get me wrong, this book was good. Story is well written. I loved the characters. The story was intriguing. I kept turning the pages to see how they were going to work things out. I just wasn’t feeling the all consuming love they felt for each other. In other books by these authors I was like “yes!” when the MCs connected, but with this I was like “meh”. I just wasn’t fully buying into the romance, but took it for granted that it was there.
