- the Cultured ShopperTurbocharge Your Tax Season: Intuit Turbo 2023 ReviewExceptional Product – Highly Recommend!
I was pressed because I hadn’t done my 2023 taxes. I needed to get them done so I purchased theIntuit Turbo software and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Right out of the email, the software was efficient and easy.
The performance is outstanding; it does exactly what it promises and has exceeded my expectations. I particularly love how quickly I was able to complete Federal and State - made my experience extremely smooth and fast..
Additionally, the setup was a breeze, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. Customer service has also been top-notch, promptly addressing any questions I had.
Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for [mention the main purpose of the product]. It’s a fantastic value for the price, and I’m confident you’ll be just as satisfied as I am! - Ed Malways goodEasy to use
- ZodozUser since before 20095 stars as it is what is used to be once you take its new flaws, mainly the install process, but minus 1 star for the changes in made against the 2023 and older versions, and rating doesn't rate the e-file process.
I'm a long time user, and was very concerned about the negative reviews late in 2023 for my staple tax program, how could those complaints be true, and how did Intuit go so wrong? There are some new things but passed it, it works the same as the old versions.
As of this review, I dl and installed and it was flawless. But, there was an unnerving gap during the installation when seemingly nothing happened as it didnt' restart as normal, and there was no notification to click the icon to get it started. Clicking on the program icon got it started again; but this can throw non-computer people off.
The install and notification screens go far slower than previous, also unnerving as you don't know what's happened, but once complete, the program responds as in the past.
It requires registration on Intuit's website now, which seems like a security issue, but Intuit is not alone in trying to use personal data beyond tax returns and has had issues with the FTC and class action, so caveat emptor. This has always been an issue until recent privacy laws, enacted only in the past 5 years or so, so I've used bogus personal information to generate a return, then manually edit the pdf to put the correct info before printing, which also allows me to proof the return in detail before submission.
For decades, I did not use e-file for security reasons so cannot comment on how it works today. The problems over the recent past confirm my skepticism about its security risks, including data breaches from the IRS itself. In the past 5 years or so, security from the IRS, and state gov't have improved, there are more protection laws as well as safe guards against ID theft, but until e-file is mandatory for all, I use paper returns. - Sanger MageeUPDATE: It would not activate, I had to call in but Tech support was able to help!Update: The info below the *~*~* line was accurate. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and finally called Intuit's tech support and got through pretty quickly (though their bot is an aggravating thing). I refused to give the person online access to my PC, so we had to do things the old way, but after less than 10 minutes, we got to where the person suggested I needed to uninstall the Tax Year 2022 version before the new one would work. So: I uninstalled the 2022 version, then uninstalled the 2023 version, cleared all the caches, etc., and restarted my Win10Pro machine. I then reinstalled TTax 2023 while the (super nice and knowledgeable) person on-line waited, and Voila, it worked. For some reason, while the old (32b) version was still installed, the new 64b version could not get to the screen that required the license code. On the final install, the ultra-annoying spinning blue dot-wheel went away quickly and the license window appeared. Once I entered the code, everything worked as it should, including being able to load last year's tax file.
I like TTax and have found it worth the money every year, but this new setup is error-fraught. Hopefully it will get sorted out before next year and there won't be any new issues to solve.
I still suggest buying directly from Intuit (I will from now on). Then you won't have to worry about not getting your money back if it doesn't work.

I've been using paid-for TurboTax for 2 decades!! They just started requiring people to log in to their server to activate the software after install. I tried 3 times to get it to work, uninstalling, clearing caches, turning off every security block in my browser, also my firewall, etc. NOTHING WORKED. ZIP! I get to the part where it need to activate and all I get is a stupid spinning blue wheel or a dot (see image). And there is ZERO support info on Intuit's fairly worthless website that resolves the issue. - TigerMoMGreat product and make the filling of tax return easy and efficientGreat product and make the filling of tax return easy and efficient.
