  • Another home run for BK Borison fans
Book 2 in the Heartstrings series follows fellow meteorologist Jackson Clark and Delilah Stewart. Jackson made me laugh in First Time Caller, so I was excited to see him have his own book. Jackson comes from radio, Delilah, TV. They get paired together, professionally, to cover a major storm coming to western Maryland, where they will hunker down together and cover the storm on both the radio and television reports. For a week. The problem? They can't stand each other. How will they be able to handle a week together?

Jackson has so much trauma that he carries around. The primary caretaker for his twin sisters, he had to grow up fast. As a kid, he tried to maintain life with his chaotic mother, through order, something that shapes him into the man he is. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders, and never wants anything out of order. Until Delilah starts breaking him down, little by little. Similarly, Delilah comes from a broken family, too. Her own mother abandoned her as a baby, when her grandfather stepped in to take care of her. Now, he suffers with Alzheimer's, but his one constant is seeing her on the daily weather reports. Delilah has lived her entire life, having to plaster a smile on her face and make herself smaller for the sake of others. Two beautiful and broken people, both with a true love for weather, never feeling like they can show the world (or each other), who they truly are. This is a friendly reminder of how much our parents can screw us up for life, and that we need to be the captains that direct us towards healthy relationships.

If you are a fan of enemies to lovers, one bed and forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine and found family, this is for you. Although not specifically stated, the neurodivergent representation is well done

    Oh, and Keith is ????
  • a slow burn + opposites attract + enemies to lovers story
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½

Jackson and Delilah are both weather reporters - he's on the radio and she's on television. Although they both have a passion for meteorology, they are far from being friendly. Their studios are across from each other and their run-ins have always ended in some sort of disagreement or disaster. Jackson and Delilah's two bosses decide to pair up the two reporters on a weather reporting project that will require that they travel to another location together. This exciting career opportunity ends up being an opportunity for them to get to know each other better. Sparks fly as they work together on their reporting project.

I really enjoyed this one! If you're into the forced proximity trope, this book is for you. When Jackson and Delilah were on their reporting assignment, there was forced proximity galore! Only one bed, a power outage, and a snowstorm - all of these were perfect elements that pushed Jackson and Delilah together in a way that I loved. It created lots of yummy tension with a slow burn that was very entertaining.

The dialogue in this book was spectacular! I loved the witty banter between Jackson and Delilah. As they spent more time with each other, the dialogue became more profound and intimate. They opened up to each other in a way that allowed them to see the other person for their true selves.

I loved Jackson! He was a good man with a good heart. He wanted to do right by his sisters and he was always putting them first. Jackson's trauma pushed him to fiercely protect them. I saw myself in Jackson - having an ingrained need to plan and control everything because of the chaos growing up. Delilah was his opposite, but like yin and yang, they complimented each other.

Pick this one up for a slow burn + opposites attract + enemies to lovers story that will bring a smile to your face and warm your heart!

  • BK Borison delivers yet another swoon worthy romance
    ???????? ???????????????????? ???????? ???????? ???????????????????????????????? ???????????????? ???? ???????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????? ????????????????

BK Borison continues to prove that she’s an absolute queen of romance. This book was everything I wanted and more.

The plot was so adorable. The banter was top tier. I was giggling the whole time. I’m not even sure if I can articulate how much I loved these two.

The slow building tension between them was ???????????????????????????????????? and so perfect. The way they were both so careful, yet they secretly were burning up inside for each other ????‍????

And the first kiss moment was so good, but that second kiss?! SWOON ???????? (unforgettable for everyone involved, IYKYK)

These two characters both mean so much to me. They were the perfect opposites attract mix of outgoing sunshine girlie and quiet, serious, nerdy and neurotic shy boy. On top of that, all that they both deal with in their personal lives is just so heartbreaking yet the way they both work their hardest to make life as good as it can be, and to never stop showing up for those they care about ???? I just love how they handled their relationship. How they longed to just take care of each other, especially since they’re both usually the ones taking care of people.

I am literally obsessed with them both. Jackson and his slutty little glasses and nervous weather rambles, and Delilah with her witty humor and colorful outfits. You guys are going to love them!
