- Jon R.Good Values With The Features I WantI purchased this cooktop to replace one that was substantially similar but the top had broken from a dropped pan. Hey, it happens. This unit is from a company I am unfamiliar with but had the three features I was absolutely wanting:
1. A super-sized burner for my larger 10-13 inch skillets and saute pans, allowing for more even heating across the entire bottom of these pans;
2. Controls that set the temp for each individual burner (in lieu of having to select each burner then use a master temp control to adjust it); and
3. It was very reasonably priced.
I've installed and replaced these cooktops before so installation went quickly and was very straightforward. I decided to use an appropriately sized terminal block instead of wire nuts to make the electrical connections quicker and more secure. My only issue is my existing cut-out is a little too big front-to-back so I had to use two pieces of brushed stainless steel trim to fill the gap and provide some extra support for those edges. When you cannot change out the current granite countertop then you have to make due.

I thought that this would be a quick and simple plug-and-go appliance. I had originally planned on giving this to my daughter to take to college with her, but I've decided to get her a different one that's easier to set up. That being said, once we did get an electrician out to help us set up, this cooktop has become a great addition to our daily cooking, especially when we're making various dishes and need the extra burners. The item is sturdy and well-built, and I think it will support heavier saucepans and pots if needed. It looks aesthetically pleasing and modern in our kitchen. I like that it's easy to clean as well, and it comes with a scraper to help with this task. This price is okay for this small appliance, but if you add in the price to also hire an electrician to help set it up, then it may not be worth the trouble.

- terri gouletteNice looking-butthis was my 2nd purchase of a cook top, the 1st one I returned, now this one will cook if you put a lid on your food, does not boil water even when adding hot water to your pot 1st ! Just won't boil. It will cook pasta just not to a rolling boil ! Looks nice and easy to install, and the knob placements are a bit confusing at 1st but then you learn the pattern ! Easy to clean and the child safety is a plus. I'm keeping this one just have to get used to the small quirks !!
