- Jeff BoykinSolid Kitchen ApplianceSo far this cooktop seems pretty good. Its not quite as heavy duty as the old one being replaced but its also 1/3 the cost of a new one of that type so no complaints. It came with everything needed for the installation including a new regulator and even teflon tape. It did only come with 2 clamps to lock it down and had 4 holes. The old unit had 4 clamps so I just used those. Not sure if 2 would have been enough to lock it down securely. It fit in the old hole with no adjustments required. The hardest part for me was getting the reducer out of the old regulator so I could reuse it with the new one. It looks nice in our kitchen and so far we are happy with it. Will update if that changes.
New update: Np one but me seems to be able to figure out how to light the thing. You have to push down and turn and keep pushing down a second or so after it lights before you can let off or the safety system will shut it back off. - Mama knows best10/1010/10 recommend! This thing is low profile enough that we were able to install it over our wall oven. The grates are thick heavy duty cast iron. This thing looks elegant and nice but at a fraction of the price of name brands would definitely buy again.
- Happy HoboBest fire hazard for the buckJoking, kinda joking, okay, maybe not.
First, IMO, this is the best value, the best looking 2-burner gas top for your money. At a glance it looks like a jen-air.
Here’s the problem, and it seems to be with each and every single manufacturer ever in the history of “doesn’t anybody ever think?”.
What does the term “put it on the back burner“ mean? It’s supposed to mean turn the heat down and let “it” (whatever it is) low simmer on the back burner because the real work is right in front of you on the front burner!!!
So, why is it the large burner on every stove I’ve searched for, regardless of price, why is it always closest to the wall? In my particular case I’ve got about 3 inches to my wallpapered paneling. Thank God I didn’t buy the $99 dollar stove with the 80,000,000,0000000 btu wok burner on it, pert-near ensuring tragedy, and hopefully I can turn my large back burner down low enough to actually slow simmer something and not simply turn my chili into a burnt layer on the bottom of my pan.
In all reality, even with the purchase of a heavier gauge stainless backsplash, I’ll probably never use the back burner simply because I’d like to preserve my life.
In all seriousness, this is the best 2-burner stone for your money. Don’t forget to change BOTH the regulator and burner nozzles over to propane. SUPER EASY
I would’ve given it five stars but I am imposing a one star penalty, dedicated to all gas stove manufacturers, to actually catch a clue and design a product that ain’t gonna kill people tempted to deep fry some turkeys, fry some hamburger or pretty much do anything on the PRIMARY burner negligently positioned in the SECONDARY location.
Yes, I feel better. Now just buy this gorgeous cooktop and be careful!!! - Bmckeon1Worth the $$$.Just installed the other day. The great is very heavy duty and the unit seems to be made well. I have not tested it too much but the flame is even and hot on both burners. was not difficult to find the right 3/8”-1/2” adapter to fit the connections, at Lowe’s to make this work with standard propane tank. Be sure to get the $50 kit @ Lowe’s that has the propane tank regulator and the hose connections to make life easier and safe.
- matthewSimple but worksWorks good.easy to clean
- E. IrvinLirvinThis was really nice, easy to put up. Beautiful!
- Malcolm RandolphCool knobsThis is the BEST cooktop I've had on my boat in 20 years. The quality of materials and the engineering to keep the hot flame away from the control knobs is superior, thank you
- sohail malikGas Pressure Reducing Valve - NOT includedFirst impression even before installation: Gas Pressure Reducing Valve - NOT included: If you are going to charge about twice as much as other similar cook-tops, and the cook-top is supposed to be for house-gas or propane gas- then why do you make the buyer go purchase the above REQUIRED accessory?
