Quality piece, lowered the noise

I purchased a 6 month old Kia K5 from a out of state dealer. To my surprise the original owner had installed a cat back exhaust system. The exhaust noise and drone was just to much. I had seen some positive reviews of this Vibrant Resonator, so I decided to give it a shot. Impressed with the quality of the unit and the install was straight forward. Now the interior noise and drone were significantly knocked down. The exterior tone didn't change as much. Very satisfied !

I have a straight piped Mk7 gti. Recently installed an Arm catted downpipe and it’s was just obnoxiously loud and the drone was horrible. I used this and the small vibrant bottle style res and it’s only a little louder than when I had stock downpipe. I actually think the resonators are quieter than most mufflers and eliminate drone and rasp while allowing a straight through flow. Highly recommend

Great resonator. I have a 3.6l V6 supercharged Jeep JKU with a cat delete ( I melted those poor cats ????) and a AFE catback exhaust muffler

When i removed my cats and had only the muffler it was much more louder and raspier then when i was catted. You could easily heard it several blocks away. It was extremely annoying driving around and all you can hear is raspyness and drone.

So i decided to take a chance on these resonator since i read all the great reviews on it. To my surprise it made much more of a difference then i expected. It completely removed the raspyness and the drone that was bothering and all im left with is a nice deep sound.

At first when i first cold start my vehicle it sounded like when i was still catted and i was like wow that did not do anything. But to my delight after i reved it several times i was amazed on the sound of the exhaust. Decided to drive around and do some spirited driving and i could hear more forced induction noises over the exhaust vs vise versa from before.

Very high quality shiny polished stainless resonator. A lot smaller than the factory resonator I took off, but does A LOT to dampen the sound. Put it on a 22 Jetta GLI with a down pipe but I still think I need a bit more resonator.

Quality: It looks and feels like it’s a high quality product. It’s quite heavy, feels very solid and I was surprised to see how nicely polished the stainless is. 10/10 on the quality for sure. The ends are 2.5” ID so my 2.5” tubing fit nicely inside and made for easy welding of the seams.

For sound: I’m using it on my 2012 Jetta TDI 6 speed manual. I did a DPF delete/tune so I had the car straight piped for a few days. I loved the idle sound but over 2k RPM, the exhaust sounded raspy so I put this resonator in the mid pipe. Now my idle is pretty quiet and (unfortunately) took a lot of the turbo whistle away. However, I do really like the sound over 2k RPM and it COMPLETELY did away with the raspy/ricer sounds I had before. It’s deep and mildly loud at most. I really can’t hear the exhaust at all below 2k RPM with the windows up.

So I am impressed with the quality of this resonator and also appreciate that it does its job well. With that being said, and depending on your application and your preference, this may make your car too quiet if you want some fun sounds. I am adding an electric cutout before the resonator so I can enjoy the turbo diesel noises when I’m feeling it.

All in all I like it and it’s great for a daily driver but it’s a little too quiet for my car and noise preference

Eliminates drone

This product was perfect for eliminating the drone that came from installing a Cat back exhaust on my 2017 jeep wrangler. The resonator helped to reduce the cabin noise and the overall decibel level of the exhaust while still maintaining a deeper exhaust tone

Exactly what the girlfriend ordered

I initially installed a 20" magnaflow muffler on my 2013 tacoma per the recommendation of other owners. It sounded good when accelerating, but had some awful highway drone and was overall just a little louder than my partner really cared for. So I found this after some research and decided to give it a shot.

Let me tell you that it did exactly what I needed it to sound wise! The sound is now closer to a factory TRD exhaust, while offering a higher flow rate, and still opens up plenty when you stomp on the skinny pedal. I feel like my exhaust is tuned now and still allows the most performance from other mods like cam gears and Intake.

Pros:
- Dramatically reduced if not eliminated highway drone.
- tone sounds great overall
- Girlfriend is happy

- Cons:
Just that I didn't do it sooner.
