- Ben BrunerPerfect Fit and Easy To InstallThis is the same battery that was in my Gravely mower when new. It is a dry cell so can be shipped. A little more expensive than a larger lead - acid that I could buy locally, but not worth the added time and effort to engineer a new hold down. I know this is commonly done by repair shops because they can make a nice profit on the lead - acid battery. The only downside is the life of this battery is 3 years. But for 3 years the mower starts immediately.

Is this a good value no that is why I am giving it 4 stars I had to have it asap so I had to pay more. If you can wait for one to come in then get it else where.I am hope it will have longevity and won't have to replace for a long time. This seems to be a quality and dead on ariens battery.
