It captured all the emotions, including literally laughing out loud. Yes, there was humor even though this is slightly “darker.” The characters had great personalities and the banter was great in their own way. They really helped each other grow into who they were supposed to be.
The MMC was dark, blunt, funny, sarcastic, and unapologetically himself. The FMC was amazing in spite of her twisted upbringing. Together they are everything. It was just phenomenally written. I literally can’t think of one negative about this book and am counting down the days for the next release in the series.

This is a mafia romance with a forced marriage between Tiernan Callaghan, a ruthless Irish mafia prince, and Lila, a sheltered mafia princess hiding painful secrets. Their relationship starts as an alliance, but the tension and chemistry between them quickly turn into something much deeper.
Tiernan is one of those morally gray heroes that you know you probably shouldn’t like, but you can’t help being fascinated by him. He’s cold, dangerous, and completely unapologetic about who he is. Lila, on the other hand, is much stronger than everyone thinks, and watching her slowly take control of her own story was one of my favorite parts of the book.
What I loved most about this story was the intensity. The emotions are raw, the romance is dark and complicated, and the plot kept surprising me. It’s not a light romance, but if you enjoy dark mafia stories with complicated characters and lots of tension, this book is incredibly addictive.

This book, this amazing book had me captivated from page one. LJ Shen has delivered such an incredible dark mafia romance.
Bad Bishop follows the story of the Irish mafia prince Tiernan “Deathless”Callaghan and Camorra princess Lila Ferrante, forced together into a marriage that neither one wants but is necessary.
They both have trauma after trauma after trauma that is tied to them. Both Tiernan and Lila come with baggage and they both saw these broken parts in one another and that’s what made them perfect for each other. Nothing melts my insides like an MMC who is so unhinged and cruel and heartless who completely melts for his MFC.
I loved the banter between Tiernan and Lila. Loved the banter between all the siblings. Even though Tiernan is cruel and heartless he was so patient with Lila as well as sweet and possessive. Lila who was sheltered her whole life transformed to an empowering woman who fights for what she wants, never backing down to anyone.
This new series was written so well, I cannot wait for book two. The twists and turns in this book kept me on the edge of my seat, page after page I could not put it down. This book was everything that I didn’t know I needed: dark, unique, sexy, beautiful, emotional. That being said, I cannot wait for everyone to read it!

Ummm...wow. I was expecting this to be good, but this was AMAZING. I literally was hooked from the first page of this book and I didn't want to put this down a single time that I was reading it. The way that this relationship occurred was such a different concept (in some ways), and although very tragic, I felt like it was definitely unique. I freaking ADORE Tiernan and Lila both. Their banter & tension was TOP TIER and I loved how he would not take a single ounce of her crap. Lila is such a sweet and wholesome character that you just can't help but love. And Tiernan is such a funny character that I often found myself laughing out loud at things he said.
