Dust Bunny is one of those movies that sneaks up on you in the best way. What starts as a quirky, eerie premise quickly turns into a stylish blend of suspense, dark humor, and character‑driven storytelling. The film has a confident tone — playful when it wants to be, unsettling when it needs to be — and it keeps you hooked from the first strange moment to the last.
The creature design and practical effects are a standout. They strike that perfect balance between creepy and imaginative, giving the movie its own distinct personality. But what really elevates the film is how grounded the characters feel. There’s genuine heart beneath the weirdness, and the emotional beats land surprisingly well.

I was already enticed when I saw that Mads Mikkelsen was starring in it. But then the story itself, without giving any spoilers, or ruining it, is just SO CREATIVELY and BRILLIANTLY done. It does a great job at keeping you guessing pretty much 2/3 into the movie!!!! And after that its just pure chaos and entertainment. In a nutshell, its like Kill Bill meets Princess Bride meets Clifford, without the gore or love story or big massive dog. And if that's not enough to tickle your brain and tempt your curiosity, idk what will. From the storyline, to the script and acting, down to the graphics and dark comedy, its just pure GOLDEN entertainment. Trippy, dark, fantasy, creatively imaginative, surreal and terrifyingly freaky in concept but done in a way you could watch it with your older kids and teens. I thoroughly enjoyed this and highly recommend to anyone who liked movies like Pans Labrinth, Mirror Mask, Ink Heart, etc.

The film features Oscar-worthy performances by Mads Mikkelsen and a newcomer, Sophie Sloan.
The cinematography and set designs are just BREATHTAKING easily deserving Oscars! The film is fast paced, yet at no point does the viewer lose the plot. It marks the directorial debut of Bryan Fuller, and-after thoroughly enjoying this film-I eagerly await his future Big Screen offerings! As its writer, producer and director, this film should remove any doubts that Bryan Fuller is THE most original, inventive mind in film today.
It is beyond criminal that this colorful, fast-paced, funny yet oddly tender film somehow failed to receive any Oscar nominations; the Academy should be ashamed of themselves! I give this wonderful film a FIVE PLUS rating! ???? - Kevin WWonderful, imaginative, and fun movieI love Mads Mikkelsen, so when I saw he was in this, I knew I had to see it. It starts out a bit confusing, almost like you've missed the first 10 minutes lol. But the narrative does an excellent job of mesmerizing the viewer, the visuals are so engaging, and the story so intriguing. It seems like it's going to be a simplistic "scary monster" movie but evolves into something much deeper and more poignant. The relationship between Mads and girl is very touching, and there's some nice humor in it as well. I greatly enjoyed it, highly recommend
