    This book is an absolute must-read. The stories are nuanced and unique. The commentary is fabulous. The author's love and expertise flows through every page. This book would be great for both the new - and the seasoned - Walt Disney World fan.

    Good book about finding about about the history of WDW.
  • Even the top Disney fans will learn something in this book!
    A terrific collection of stories from the very beginning of WDW's construction and into its opening years. Her voice really comes through in her writing, which is conversational with a delightful twinge of sarcasm. The footnotes and commentary are arguably the best part of the book. It's a must for Disney Historians, especially if your true love is found in the Parks and Resorts.

    Enjoyable, quick read with a different take on the formation of the Vacation Kingdom. Meticulously researched and well written. Highly recommended!
  • A marvelous piece of work
    I am only a few chapters in but I don’t want to put this book down. It will come as no surprise to anyone who has been a follower of the author’s Disney World history blog, but they have produced a well-written, clearly well researched book intent on digging a little deeper under the surface of Walt Disney World’s inception. This is an easy recommendation for any Disney history enthusiast.

    I’ve read a number of books on the history and development of the Walt Disney World resort, and this is among the best! Great insight into the creation of the resort, as well as interesting history of surrounding areas.
