- RenneThis BOSS DS-1 distortion bundle does what it's supposed to do!I ordered this for our son. It was definitely smaller than I thought it would be when it arrived. (The mailing box was so small that I actually didn't think it was in there.). But everything was actually in the box and our son now uses it every night. I had no clue what this thing was supposed to do... but when I now listen to him play his electric guitar... it amazes me how this thing changes the sound of the guitar! So I think for the price, it definitely does what it's supposed to do. We probably should have bought one long ago. Only issue was the shipping delivery date changed multiple times (to over a week out) - but in the end, it arrived on time for Christmas. So 5 stars for this for sure!

- IDK2021Great Guitar Pedal!I’m a beginner guitarist, and it sounds great. The weight of it isn’t heavy. There was no delay problem. The power supply works great. I exchanged the battery that came with it, even though I haven’t tested it enough to know how long of a battery life it has. The design is great. Anyway since I plan on learning heavy metal, thrash metal and grunge, this pedal will go a long way helping me get the sounds I’m looking for. I am planning on getting another one as a Christmas gift. To anyone that’s a guitarist(and I don’t know if it works on a bass guitar)either as a long time player or a beginner, i definitely recommend it. This distrotion pedal has been around since the late 70’s and it’s one of the best distortion pedals out there. If you want to know some famous guitarists that used a Boss DS-1 pedal:
