- javierGood product and serviceGreat product and great service from the seller!!! It was simple to assemble and it works as expected. Even though there missing parts the seller provided a good solution and in a timely manner.
- LopezMotor casing gear missing, but good kit.One of the motor casings was missing a gear, but other than that it is a great kit.
- James K. Alexander Jr.this is pretty great. i broke a couple of the motor ...this is pretty great. i broke a couple of the motor holder brackets during assembly. most likely my fault. its a pretty fun robot once you get the motor board and the computer board.
- KevinGood for Arduino BeginnersPersonally I had no issues with any of the parts breaking on me. The two acrylic frames do bend, so I would be gentle with it when it comes to putting anything heavy on it. The motors are slow, but for 15 dollars it’s not too bad. (Also, if you plan on hooking all four motors up to an Arduino I would make sure you have enough power.) One little annoyance for me are the little copper leads for the motors. They seem very flimsy but just try not to break them and you’ll be okay. Lastly, the directions that came with the car are pretty bad and not clear at all, but luckily it’s pretty straightforward when it comes to assembling the thing. Would recommend if you want to get an inexpensive car to toy around with.
- ~THE_AMAZON_CUSTOMER~Worked greatI bought the 2 WD for a small Bluetooth car using arduino uno r3. The instructions weren’t the best but they included pictures.putting it together was simple and self explanatory it was a fun project. (Please don’t judge my wiring I didn’t have any male to female jumper cables)
- Marcus RichardsCheap quality outshines cheap priceIn theory this little fella is the most bang for your buck. Chasis, 2 motors with encoders, battery box, and beefy wheels look great online but in person lacks punch I expected. Adding to that, the chasis was partially cracked (super glued), one of the motor mounts snapped when installing (super glue, again), instructions were translated horribly, came with way too many extra screws which made using quantities to make heads or tails of which screw and nut went where, and a holes not lining up here and there makes me regret this purchase. Would send back if shipping wouldn't cost half the purchase price.
- HaXoRaMaGives your Arduino wheelsGreat little kit to get my arduino mobile. Instructions are a little hard to understand only because of the bad translation, but the diagrams are good. I'm very impressed with this for the price. Haven't fully assembled it yet but all motors have been tested and work great. I would recommend this to anyone trying to make an RC car or autonomous Arduino vehicle. Great buy for the price.
- Jim KuceraJust a bag of parts that don't fit wellI needed an extended chassis to support two power packs for a Raspberry PI powered unit with a separate HAT. I couldn't find the plastic/metal plate so I opted for this unit.
The wheels don't fit well to the DC motor shafts which don't have any wires attached. So you need some 26 ga wire, connectors and a soldering iron to put this unit together. Be careful trying to force the dc motor shaft into the wheel slot. You could end up with wheels that wobble if you damage the plastic fit. I learned.
The battery pack came with the wrong screws to secure it to the chassis. The AA batteries end up resting on domed screw heads so they don't settle in the battery pack. I used velcro strips to secure it to the chassis.
I decided to scrap the wheels and find some that could be secured with metal screws that allow them to come off when necessary.
Unlike an Adafruit unit, this is NOT a kit that could be easily assembled with the provided parts. Instruction sheet was helpful.
