- Patrick F. MahoneyWorked fine for data in Ireland, France and NetherlandsFirst, to use this you need an unlocked phone. Make sure your phone is unlocked before you buy it or travel. If you don't know if your phone is unlocked, call your carrier before you leave on your trip and ask them. If you are making monthly payments on your phone, it's probably not unlocked. If your phone is paid off or you paid full price, it is probably unlocked. Call your cell carrier and ask before you buy this SIM and before you leave on your trip. I think some of the negative reviews for this SIM kit are because the phone isn't unlocked.
Second, this SIM kit worked great for us for all data - like Google Maps, and WhatsApp calls and sending photos via email - in Ireland, France and the Netherlands and it presumably works everywhere else they said that it does. We had good service - even in remote parts of Ireland. It is data-only, so you want to use apps for calls like Skype or WhatsApp or iMessage and Facetime Audio for calls. There is no texting. You do get an actual number but it can't send or receive texts and you can't make phone calls.
The card is basically a white-box Orange Welcome Travelers SIM card. You can go to the travel.orange.com website and add more data, and you can also extend the service beyond 30 days but you have to register it by going to an orange store or by taking a photo of the passport and sending it in via their website. You can also see how much data you've used by registering the card at the travel.orange.com website.
Make sure to bring and keep the whole big credit card thing with you on your trip if you think you might need to add more data. You need the number on the credit-card-like thing to add more data. Current prices to add more data depend on the length of activitity but you could add 3GB for 9 euros, or add 5GB more data for 16 euros.
Some people have complained about technical issues - one thing is that Orange is one of the biggest carriers in Europe. They have stores in pretty much every city and town in nearly every country (maybe not some Eastern European countries). You can just go into any Orange store for help.

- UFamilyWorked in Greece and ItalyPopped in the SIM card to a Samsung S21 FE and it worked just great, once you figure out how to turn on roaming - I feel like I have to figure out how to turn on roaming all over again with every SIM or eSIM on every phone every time; but that's besides the point. This SIM let me get all the data I needed in Greece and Italy. I stuck to the big cities like Athens, Thessaloniki and Corinth in Greece and Rome and Florence in Italy, so I don't know how it would work in other areas. I didn't use all that much data - 3GB seems to last 10 days for me, so 10GB for 30 days is enough for my non-high-usage purposes. This SIM was competitively priced, and I didn't save all that much money buying eSIMs for my friends who also went on the trip. And this SIM came very promptly, according to the Amazon shipping estimate. Plus it came with a nice sleeve that had cutouts for keeping my original SIM from getting lost, and it contained a pin, etc. Everything was well designed. Highly recommended!
- J ZProblem-free experience with this cardUsed this card for a two-week travel through Lithuania, Poland and Germany. No problem whatsoever encountered. Upon landing at Frankfurt and powered on my phone, the card was automatically activated and data service immediately available. In the two weeks it always had good speed, always available. What else can you expect from a travel SIM card? Will use in the future. I did not check how much data I actually used, but sometimes I have public wifi. Main usage is google map navigation and google search.
