- BKangGreat scope for coins! Whohoo so much easier to seeLove this thing! I wish I would have had this sooner, now I need to recheck some coins that I thought may have errors. No more straining my eyes, I put the penny on the platform turned this on, just still shocked and very happy with this purchase! The manual that came with mine says it supports up to 64 GB so that was also a nice surprise since the descriptions said 32GB (just got to find where I put them LOL). I have not hooked it up to the computer, but perhaps I will one day, it works great on its own so I see no need to put it on my computer. If you have bad eyes like me you will love this purchase especially for coins. Now I can also take photos at the proper angle and easily. I only just plugged this in and tried it so I may update at a later time. I can't speak to battery life at this time, it could be more intuitive for going through options but for this low price I won't complain much. I do wish it had a longer distance to move it up to get the whole coin in the shot, I'll play some more.
- DBRamazing toolthis thing works great... as i am getting older i can now see the mint marks and overlays from one mint mark to another. i am not a grader but now and the, especially for dimes, the marks are hard to see. not with this tool though. and it takes pictures... i should have bought it sooner but the price is so reasonable now you cant go wrong.
- lissette G.Great magnificationGreat microscope. Really magnifies objects! Great investment if you need it for a hobby, school etc. Came fully charged which was great. Holds charge well too.
- Expert7Very nice! It does the job.Very good for the price. Would be much better if it had clips on the base to hold things down. It’s ok if it is only used for coins. It could use a much better resolution. The screen displays in a slight pixelation but noticeable right off but if you were focusing more, you can see it. Not bad though. I have a Mac desktop and once I connected to it the picture on the desktop’s display, it showed the camera input in the reverse which could have been the software I found to use the microscope with as it doesn’t have software with it. Maybe its in the Mac OS because now I remember the software I found, didn’t work with the scope and I researched more and found out that there is an app built it to the Mac OS called, “Photo Booth”. That’s where I got the reversed images. Other than that, the digital microscope works well. In Photo Booth, you have options. Even though images are in reverse, you can save the images in Photo Booth and then open the image in “Preview” which is another App in the Mac OS you can flip the image horizontally if I’m not mistaken.
- VickyCoin magnifying deviceWorks great! Very detailed and easy to set up and use!
- Carl W.Transferring Image Files Issue 101 BSomeone had complained in the Reviews about downloading the TF Card Files from this Wonderful Microscope. I have been using this little Gem to assist me in repairing Printed Circuit Boards in Radio Broadcasting Transmitters & Computers. Transferring Files from the TF Card is easily done by Transferring the SD Using a Card Reader to your Computer. I only use the USB-C to charge the internal battery in the Microscope ???? I hope this is helpful. D.
- Merely A MomCoin Collector Must HaveI picked up this 4.3‑inch digital coin microscope to explore coins and small objects with my kids, and it’s been so much fun! The screen is nice and clear, making it easy to see tiny details without squinting through a traditional eyepiece. We’ve used it to zoom in on coin engravings, stamps, insects, and even leaf veins — everything looks crisp and fascinating up close.
It’s simple to operate, and the built‑in light helps a ton in brightening up details. The kids love seeing everyday things magnified, and it’s turned into a cool learning tool that sparks curiosity.
If you want an easy‑to‑use digital microscope for hobbies, collecting, or hands‑on learning, this one is a great choice! - Eoghain Connor DarraghThe digital microscope is good in some ways but not satisfactory in other ways. There should be a way to split the rating system between one star for some aspects and multiple stars for other aspects. This digital microscope gets one, three, or five stars as follows:
(*) The microscope gets One Star for:
- The microscope came with a User Manual with print so small that it can only be read with a microscope.
- The wording in the User Manual is not easy to follow. It may have been authored by someone for whom English is a second language.
- Worst of all, the microscope did not come with installation software. I have spent several hours searching the internet and installing or updating various drivers and nothing works. I can see the image clearly on the microscope's screen but I cannot download it to my computer.
If you have the right driver for my Windows10 laptop PC, I would like to hear about it.
(***) The microscope gets Three Stars for:
- The field of view is very small.
It can show an image the size of a dime but
it cuts off part of the image of a penny (U.S. currency).
(*****) The microscope gets Five Stars for:
- The image and detail are very good on the screen.
- The magnification is better than expected.
- Charging the battery from the USB port on my laptop works well.
- The digital microscope is not expensive.
