- Christina FurbyOrigin mirrorSo a quick heads up to anybody trying to get this to reset their password in an old computer that they haven't already made a password for and they're currently locked out.. THIS WILL NOT WORK FOR THAT. I unfortunately learned this the hard way and I have now come to the realization that this disc is used BEFORE you forget your password. This disc's purpose is a key in case you forget your password in the FUTURE and is used as a PREVENTATIVE measure. That being said, the disc works how it is intended and it's pretty easy once you understand what it's actually for. From what I understand, this disc is compatible with many different versions of windows but I haven't had the chance to try it in any other than Vista. (Which that works fine if you have login access).
Another tip of advice, once you use this disc on one computer you cannot use it on another. The disc itself is burned to whatever device you use it on and becomes a part of that computer's property and will no longer work as a password reset key for any other computer. So in short, it's a one shot disc but worth it for the price of knowing you'll be able to get back into your system at some point in the future if you ultimately forget. The disc's condition is in perfect quality and I will use it in the future in the event I need to reset my password because I forgot. I definitely recommend this tool for anybody with Windows. - crystal brownWaste of time/doesnt workWhen i got the item and opened it, it had scratches on it, no instruction came with it and when i tried to use the product the computer gave me an error message as if the disk wasnt even in the computer (which it was) ????
- RebeccaThis works!I do have to say, this does work. At first I didn’t think it would because I put the disk in on the windows screen and nothing! BUT!!!! What I figured out was, you’ll need to shut down your computer. Then after you press the button to start the computer you’ll need to open the disk drive and put in your disk. Then the program will load. It was super easy! I was able to get all the old photos on my old profile. This worked like a charm!
- Benjamin GainousIT DID NOTHINGI put the disk which had no directions in my disc and waited for anything to happen. Nothing did. Nothing like described and wasted my time and money. Very disappointed!!!! I only gave it a star because its the only way to leave a review.
REFUND!!!! - Silvia BarronFOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND IT WILL WORK!Super easy to use. You’ll need to shut down your computer. Then after you press the button to start the computer you’ll need to open the disk drive and put in your disk. Then the program will load. This worked like a charm!

Thanks to the folks who reviewed it. I kept saying that if you guys did it, then it was doable. I got an old vista 7 professional lenovo laptop from a local college sale. $20. It was supposed to be wiped but they left the password in. I couldn't get into the computer no matter how hard i tried. So this is what i did. I placed this unblocker disk in the DVD player, and when it booted up i chose the dialog box for restarting local user. Before i restarted the laptop i removed the disk. Then i pressed the button to start up. And when the dialog box came, I used the name the computer gave me in the password dialog box but i didn't use any password. And voila. Thank you for the few folks who gave me hope!
