It is made from a thick wood material, and the print quality on it is beautiful. It is large enough that my 6 year old could put her hand on it as well and it would fit. I am going to use this to add the three handprints of all my daughters! The only thing I can note is that I wish it did come with the ink already for you to use. You will need to get that separately. However, the quality of the wood and the print lets me know that it will be durable and last throughout time! Also, it doesn't have a stand or anything to keep it up right so do note that.
