  • Wuthering Heights (DVD)
By far, this is the best version of "Wuthering Heights" I have seen. Actor, Jacob Elordi's performance (oh my) was amazing.
  • It’s perfect
First off it’s based on the book but it’s pretty loose. Really what this is is oh my god sensual. Jacob Elrobi just smashed the map and took first place in women’s hearts. Heathcliff and Cathy love each other as children but when they become adult enough to feel passion it becomes this man woman thing so utterly sensual and in the background is Charli xcx Chains of love which sends everything higher. It has power like I have nothing to compare it to, no other film rocks you like this and then the choices Cathy makes creates a devastation that just ends the lovers. It’s love, lust, sorrow, betrayal, devastation, and enduring passion combined again with a love that spans the ages. No one will ever touch this work again and succeed, this one is timeless and will endure in the glory and the pleasure. This is going to make huge money, people won’t just want it, they will buy it and not care what it costs because it touches something so deep and primal. Trust me we all want to be loved like this and if men were smart they would take notes. A love and sensuality that will span the ages.
  • Beautiful film but really awful
Bad script. Poor rewrite of a classic. Visually beautiful but too art house strange for retelling of a classic . Cathy and Heathcliff are beautiful and that is the only reason to waste your time on this muddled mess of a film . The romantic passion in this awful retelling has been turned into nothing more than perverted carnal lust of two mentally damage people suffering the effects of child abuse . Best parts of the basic plot have been left out to allow for scenes of passion leaving little plot to hold the story line together A one star rating is being very generous for this film .
  • A new take on the classic novel adapted for the big screen!!!
This movie is not a faithful adaptation of the original novel, but rather it is a love letter to passion amidst tragedy. I will admit, going into this movie, I had a feeling that it was going to be a different vibe overall than the original novel. I read Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights" before I saw the movie and the book left such a vast imprint on my heart!!! I haven't been this affected by a book in a long time! The movie went in a new direction in the way that it focused on what sort of relationship Catherine and Heathcliff could have had off the page. For that, I appreciate that aspect, but I will not deny that this movie was extremely raunchy and overly sexualized to such an extent that it will not resonate with certain audience viewers. From the opening scene to the ending scene, it started and ended with extreme intensity. I waited a few days to write a proper review because I really had to let the movie sink in and allow myself to process what I experienced and felt. I saw it on opening night, and I'm still buzzing about it. This movie is an embodiment of what drastic effects love could have on a couple that is destined to be together in spirit and soul but is forced to be apart due to societal expectations, poor timing, and lack of proper communication out of fear for being rejected or being heartbroken in the end if they are truthful with their feelings and words. Overall, if you want to see a movie that takes on the challenge of taking emotions and feelings and personifies them on the big screen then this movie will sit with you like it did for me! The performances of all the actors and actresses stuck with me! It's not easy to be this raw and expressive in a gothic context, yet everyone put their soul into their roles for the movie and used the original novel as an inspirational driving force. The movie is in a class of its own, separate from the original masterpiece of a novel.
  • Princess
Perfect. Just got it for beautiful Margot. She rocked her character in this movie
  • NOT A REMAKE PEOPLE
Do not go into this expecting it to be true to the source material. It is not and never claimed to be. Saw it twice in theatres and am so excited to have it in my collection. First physical copy of a movie I’ve bought in years
  • Big let down
I say I was so excited to see this movie, but wasn't impressed. Thought it was slow and rather boring. Everyone says they cry through this, the only tear I had is I wasted two hours on a Saturday I can't get back.
  • Mmm
I thought I was lesbian until I watched this. F*%#~ then I witnessed Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff… *.*swoon….I dont own any physical movies but will be making an exception for this…
