Upon receiving this SIM Kit and downloading the Boost Infinite app, I was able to activate my iPhone XR and have it fully operational in well under 5 minutes. I wish I had paid more attention to the product description and realized that I didn't even need the physical SIM, but the app noticed that and prompted me to select between eSIM or physical SIM during the short activation steps. eSIM worked just great. Coverage and speeds are great where I've used it. Overall a very good experience. And for anyone like me - with an old phone that's still locked to a carrier you can't remember, Apple Support can help you identify which carrier sold you the phone or first activated it, and from there it is easy to get it unlocked - nothing at all to do with Boost and not something they can do for you, just helpful to know.

The truth of the story with Boost Infinite. It is owned by Dish Network who is wanting to challenge the three main phone service providers. Currently, and probably for many more years, they do not have their own cell towers, but instead depend upon either the AT&T or T-Mobile networks through agreements with them. The problem is they can only let you use one of those service providers, not both, and they will not tell you which one. You will not find out until you start having service issues. A positive for Boost Infinite was that set-up was extremely easy, and the service representatives have been very friendly and professional with a helpful attitude. The problem though will begin over the next few weeks. For me, Boost Infinite would not hit a cell tower at my residence, but it did not bother me much because it would WIFI call through my home WIFI internet; however, I soon discovered Boost Infinite would not work at all at my work location, not even with WIFI calling. I contacted Boost Infinite to discover the problem. After much trial and error, they discovered that T-Mobile, yes T-Mobile, would not allow WIFI calling at my work location for whatever reason. That's right folks. The Boost Infinite could not hit a T-Mobile cell tower while inside the office building, and on top of it, T-Mobile was unable to WIFI call from said location despite being connected to a WIFI internet. This was the first I learned I was using the T-Mobile network and not the AT&T network. Also, was the first time I discovered Boost Infinite was not using both service providers networks, but instead would delegate you to the one they thought would work best in your area. Well, shame on me because I already knew T-Mobile was the worst service provider in my work location. So, Boost Infinite is unable to help "your" situation, not "their" situation, because they don't actually own and operate the network. Instead, they are beholden to the actual true service provider, luck of the draw as to whether that is AT&T or T-Mobile. So I have wasted my time on a wannabe phone service provider and will now have to go find a real mobile phone company. Don't waste your time with Boost Infinite. I had hoped so much they were going to challenge the other three service providers, but it's merely an illusion, maybe even a nightmare for some. Boost Infinite is no where near infinite. Instead, they are Boost Limited.

Best deal I ever decided to buy. I have had no problems with the service at all. Data is great I use my phone all the time and it has never ran out on me. The only thing that was a little tricky was the activation. They have you download an app to activate, but you can’t actually activate it through the app you have to call and have someone on customer service activate it for you, but even with that it took probably anywhere between 30 minutes in an hour to actually get activated but their customer service was super helpful. Very nice very professional. I didn’t have any issues at all. They’re just great. I love my BoostInfinite service. The only other problem I had was I tried to add my boyfriend to my phone line on another Sim card, and that proved to be very difficult, and we just ended up keeping him on his AT&T plan, because it was just too hard to activate another phone on my same line for whatever reason but other than that I love my phone service and everything is great

I purchased one of the SIMs when it launched on Amazon. From the research I did, Boost Infinite was running on AT&T and their own Dish towers. Their agent running their Amazon and Facebook pages aren't answering on which towers they use, except "the best network" which everyone claims. I received the SIM, put it into a Moto Stylus 5G (2022), installed the Boost Infinite app, tried to activate. Their system told me my email wasnt on file, and I made sure it was the one associated with my Amazon account. So I had to go though their online chat support, which I'll give Boost credit, went pretty smooth. After about 15 minutes of chat, looking up numbers, etc, my phone was live. I installed the Carrier app so the APN settings would automatically import. After a reboot, I have dish APN settings directing things to att.net. Also note that their own website still shows the settings for att.net at With 1 bar (5G). This was odd due to the AT&T signal with one of their competitors gives us all bars, I downloaded the OpenSignal app and discovered I'm connecting to T-Mobile towers (band 66). Download speeds bounce between 1 - 3Mb. The problem is. when T-Mobile took down the Sprint towers last spring, our T-Mobile signal and service is barely existent. This is why people are asking what towers you use. The 3 wireless companies do not work for everyone. Now people are posting and warning that Boost Infinite are sending out T-Mobile SIMs from their Amazon orders. I'm not sure how the APN settings work with using T-Mobiles towers when the carrier app, the Boost Infinite app, and Boost's web site is instructing us to use AT&T's APN settings.

Now comes to the part of dropping calls this morning. I'm connected to my WiFi, but I'm dropping calls. This is when I discovered WiFi calling is not working. Not only is it not working, the WiFi calling option is no longer available in the Phone app settings. After doing a little research, this happens when your carrier does not support WiFi calling. But Boost Infinite is telling people they have WiFi calling. So back to the support chat I go. This time wasnt so pleasant. Either these support agents are working on too many customers at once and keep track of what's being said, or I got one that just couldnt follow along. I informed the agent that the Boost Infinite app lets us change our IMEI number, but it's not saving on their end. It keeps showing the previous phone that I signed up with, which was having issues and I swapped it into the Motorola Stylus. She told me that the app will not let us change the IMEI, only the reps can. Why have this feature in your app if it doesnt work? She manually changed my IMEI, I rebooted my phone, and I was supposed to have a notification about WiFi calling being available within 10 minutes. It never came. Finally she said my SIM is having problems and they're sending me a new one.

First impression is not good. I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay, if I do continue past my initial 30 days. Is Boost Infinite still offering AT&T service any more? Can I get an AT&T SIM if I order directly from Boost Infinite? Are we getting the correct APN settings with this sudden change to T-Mobile?
