These are nice pants; that being said, I wish they were a bit cheaper.
The quality is nice and the sizing is accurate. They are a flattering pant to wear just as a pair of pants, not necessarily *just* for hiking.
The biggest feature for me was the bottom of the leg. It's a bit wider, or, to put it another way, if you do not adjust the elestic at the bottom, they're not tapered. I've tried on other pairs that have more of a "mom jean" or "skinny jean" leg. These have more of an old-school straight-leg look when you're not using the elastic.
They'll be a great pant for errands and such; they're comfortable and flattering. When hiking, the elastic at the bottom will be useful. Pocket are great as well.
Overall a good choice, especially if you're not a fan of tapered legs.

Perfect for warm/cool weather hiking
Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2024
Went for some comfy lightweight hiking pants for a summer backpacking trip with highs of 85-90’s and cool nights in the 50’s, and these were perfect for late afternoon/evenings. They are also flattering with a slightly higher waist than some which I love—for reference I am slim but curvy 135 lbs. I tend to get pain from clothing straps and bands but these were fantastic and comfy and oh so soft. They are lightly moisture wicking—not sure how they’d hold up in real rain, but good for dew and shallow creeks. Also somewhat protective from the sun and bugs. Even easy to slip on over shorts for a quick change on the trail. I went pretty basic with grey but definitely would buy other colors in the future. Zipper pockets were great and the pull at the bottom was just handy and not uncomfortable as I expected. Seem good quality as well.

Size is a little tricky

I am between sizes on the size chart so I first ordered large that was recommended. Love the caramel color! They are a bit baggy but I tried them on over sweat pants to see that a base layer would be easily accommodated. I plan to wear these for walking, light hiking on this fall. Great pockets, lightweight for packing. Love the spf and water resistance & comfortable elastic waist. If you don’t cinch the cuffs, the drawstrings are not obtrusive. I wish the logo on the pocket was smaller or not there at all but not a dealbreaker. Still, I considered returning for medium and saw that price dropped $7 in 24 hrs since I ordered the first pair. Amazon doesn’t offer price match/refund on previous purchases, I decided to order the medium in blue at the lower price. Got those today and the fit is perfect. I am 5’5”, 160 lbs and long waisted. I’m tempted to keep both but will likely return the large and keep my eye out for another sale. Size is the only reason for less than 5 stars.

Perfect for hiking, walking, everyday activities. Appropriate for an older woman also

I am 70. I am active, walking in the wildlife sanctuary areas around here and going hiking with my grown children. These are lightweight, warm enough in spring through fall weather, rapid dry material if we get rained on and I like the band at the ankles as we often hike in forested areas and so far I have not gotten any ticks on me as the band helps block the pesky things unlike open pants. Plus there are pockets. One other thing I've noticed and I don't spray my clothing with any kind of repellents as skin sensitive, is that for whatever reason I don't get bitten by mosquitos on my legs when I wear these which I do if I wear jeans. I am wondering if the fabric is tighter weave than jeans and even though thinner more prevention. Whatever the reason, it works. Love the colors also and they launder beautifully. The pockets are great for phones and other items. I purchased several of these. Every one is quality made.

Deep pockets, with zippers!!

Ordering pants online can be hit or miss. Hit here in my opinion. I love that the pockets are not only deep, but they also have zippers. Nothing I hate more than after going on a hike or walk getting back to my car, sitting down and my phone falls out of my pocket into that space between the driver's seat and the middle console, so I have to dig for my phone in the abyss. With these pants the zipper helps so that does not happen, but pockets are really deep enough that even not being zipped this would still not be an issue.
Pocket raving aside these pants are just really comfortable. Lightweight material so I'm not feeling too hot in them. I like the adjustment toggles on the bottom so if I want my pant legs hiked up a little, I can just make small adjustment and won't have to worry about one pant leg or both falling down.
I'm glad I made the purchase.

Great for hiking or travel

Love these lightweight, stylish pants. I bought two , on in green, the other in blue. They went everywhere with me this summer from the jungle to the beach. Comfortable true size fit, handy pockets, and fast drying at a fair price. I highly recommend these pants.

Not cut the same (less curvy) in larger sizes
Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2024
When I was a bit smaller, I bought these in an XL and loved them (I would say an XL could work from the larger side of US12-14 depending on build). For various reasons, I’m a couple sizes larger now (often a 1X or 16w on the bottom), so I grabbed them in 2X and 3X to see what would work. I am pear shaped. The 2X (in army green) are small/ tight fitting, especially across my upper thighs. I like the way they feel better than the 3X, but they visually look too small. Still could probably accommodate a larger tummy than I have. The 3X (in caramel) are HUGE in the waist. Needing to hold up the pants with just the shoelace drawstring is likely not going to be comfortable for hiking. They fit better visually across the rest of my body, but still seem cut funky for my curves, with a big old waist gap and falling down over my butt especially—just super weird in many ways. Edited to add: I put my XL pants back on *for science* and held them up next to my 2X and 3X and I’m forced to conclude that the plus sizes just aren’t cut the same. When sizing up from XL to 2X, the pattern adds several inches in the waist but does not seem to add anything near this proportionately in the hips and thighs, which is honestly where I need the room (not the most comfy but my XLs can still go on just fine at the waist). (See photos with XL in blue on top of 1x in army green, particularly the intensity of the curve from waist to hips). If these pants were cut the same as my smaller size, they would fit much better, but they just are cut with less curve to them in these larger sizes. They may be better for apple shaped plus size folks.
