    It works as good as hot spotting my Iphone. But the ATT signal at my house isn't great. I leave mine plugged in all the time, with the battery out. That is the only way I get a strong enough signal to work the way I want. I leave the cover off and have a small cooling fan going on it all the time. I also have an external antenna hooked up to it all the time. If I don't do all of this, it won't work. I also have to check on it every few days because I get spam messages to the phone number that goes to it. If I don't delete the messages or it won't work. When I purchased this, ATT didn't have a wireless router like they do now. That might work better than this, but I paid a lot for this and I am making it work. I have a lake place that has a better ATT signal and it works better out there. When I have a good ATT signal I can have 10 different wifi items hooked up. When the signal is not good, I have to go around and turn off Wifi on a few things, until I get enough signal to run what I want.

    I should have known better than to buy refurbished electronic equipment. I learned this lesson years ago, but I guess my memory lessened the experience over time. I remember oh so well now. The charger that came with it won't run the device without the battery in it. Tried a different charger and it would cycle on and off. Next the SIM card was hard to install. After watching video I got it in - no signal. Checked the net and they said sim card had to installed just right to make it work. Since the charger doesn't work this meant removing battery, moving the card a bit and then reinstalling battery. Each time 5 minute time for device to boot up. After 30 minutes of this I realized - this is a complete piece of crap. Back in the box and off to Amazon it goes. DON'T PURCHASE!!! There is a reason this is so heavily discounted and not worth it even at that price.

    Works perfectly. Super easy to configure. There isn't an auto wifi mode (e.g. auto detect wifi protocols, but that's not a bad thing because a few of my older devices only connect to 2.5 and won't auto negotiate protocols. So, I have 2.5 and 5.0 enabled and let my devices jump on the best ssid for them. This does the job perfectly and connection to AT&T is always rock solid 5G - great reliability.

    I ordered the Nighthawk pro and the first delivery I received was a watch. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me a return label and instructions to ship it back for a refund. This is why I'm only giving it 4 stars.
    Now on to the review of the product. We live out in the country and our only other options for internet is satellite. A friend recommended the Nighthawk pro so I ordered another from the same seller. It arrived and looks brand new. It did come with a different charger than factory but it charged right up and works fine. The range isn't the greatest but we found a spot in the house where we can stream on all of our TV's and my son is able to play games on his desktop. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mobile hotspot.

    As of day one, I’m thrilled with this device. Easily had it opened, turned on, and setup in under 5 minutes. My speed test showed a huge increase compared to using my 5G phone alone as a hotspot. Using this is like being connected to your WiFi at home. I couldn’t be happier, especially being able to save so much by purchasing this refurbished.

    The only thing I can’t speak to yet is the battery life. I’m going to start using this daily and I’ll update here if there is anything notable to mention regarding the battery. But to be honest, I’d still love this deal even if the battery didn’t work and it literally needed to be plugged in the whole time! lol

    As an additional note, I am using a T-Mobile SIM card. The unit says AT&T on the case, and the logo on the power-up screen says AT&T as well. When I inserted my t-mobile sim and powered it up, it automatically recognized it and required no setup whatsoever. It’s a truly unlocked device as it s advertised to be.

    In the description it says it is an unlocked device. This is not the case and attempting to unlock a device has been needless to say annoying. Multiple phone calls with people just giving me another phone number to call. I was finally given a store location that may unlock it for me, but this was 4 hours of being on hold and being told we can't help. Either it is blatant lying in the product description or poor evaluation. Either way the product was not what was advertised.

    We get marginal but consistent ATT coverage at our rural residence through our iPhones, and have Sat WiFi as main source for wifi and VoiP. We're relatively resource intensive with our daily business and have occasionally lost out Sat WiFi due to equipment failures, which usually means several days of grindingly slow communications, with little to no entertainment usage. We purchased the refurbished unit and immediately put it to use until we received replacement equipment for our Sat set-up. Worked flawlessly and it was great knowing we now have a solid backup without relying on our phone's internal cellular hotspot. We were able to process our daily business needs, stream TV, and it fit in nicely with our current ATT phone subscription plan. Obviously it is much stronger and sensitive than what the phone is capable of. And it does have provisions for connecting an external or outside antenna, but we haven't purchased that option yet, but I suspect that would improve coverage and throughput even further. Since we plan to travel in the future, it seems like a good addition for our data communication needs. We were also able to link it in with our Eero mesh router system, which provides coverage to all of our outbuildings as well. Overall, pleased!
