Loved the string of light.s easy remote and the thin strand of lights very easy to put up & secure to house. Used these for christmas last year and now one set does not work

Installed lights today, went pretty well. Even though you will see 1/2-inch screw-in loop hangers recommended or bundled, don't order those. It's too big and the rope lights will slide around and not give you a straight edge look. I ordered the 3/8 inch, and they were too big too. I had to add a zip-tie to the rope lights anywhere it passed through the hangers to keep them from pulling back and not giving a clean, sharp line look. Wishing I would have ordered 1/4 inch. It was definitely extra work, but it came out well with the zip-ties.

9-month update... I know I said I would update after 6 months, but I wanted to get through the summer heat to see how they did. They are still great. No issues

For those saying that they couldn't get them to straighten out, uncoil them fully and leave them in the sun or a warm place for an hour or two with the ends weighted down. Laid mine in the driveway in the sun, they stayed pretty straight.

Great effects, lots of color choices and changes. Will have to see about the durability through the season, will update review in 6 months, hope to give a 5 star if they stay durable. Fun to see the effects from the remote.

Remember, the lights themselves are pretty waterproof but NOT the plug or the control board. Weatherization is needed for those items if used outside.

9-month update: I know that I said that I would update after 6-months, but I wanted to get through the heat of the summer to see how they held up. Thay are still great. Lots of color options and choices. Love having the timer feature, they come on every day around dusk and stay on until about 11:30pm and auto shut off. Enough light at night where I don't have to have my porch light on to use my keys on the front door. I highly recommend them, upped my review to 5 stars. 99 feet for 80 bucks? A steal.

I put a bad review on here because they stopped working after 1night of use and rain. But it was my outdoor extension cord that was the problem I think. In any case they dried out and worked fine the next time I used them. I especially like the remote and being able to change colors.

My teenager has been wanting lights in his room for quite some time. He thought this one might be too long, but realized in short order that they would stay a little curved with how we hung them... and that they looked cool that way. We took them up the wall and back down the wall on the same corner, with the bit of excess sitting behind his computer monitor; which just added to the fun ambience. He loves all the color options. Great buy for a bedroom decoration!

I got this color changing rope light for my front porch to light it up at night. As you can see in my pictures it lights up nice and bright. However, it’s a little too bright. So here are the pros and cons. Pro: it has many color options, with five different levels of brightness and it remembers what color you last picked every time it comes back on. Con: it does not remember what level of brightness you picked so it defaults back to the brightest setting every time it comes back on. Pro: lights are inside a plastic tube, so it protects the wiring. Con: it arrives in a coiled circle and getting the plastic tubing to relax is not easy. I would recommend setting it the sun for a while to heat up the plastic. I put mine up (in 50*) and let it just relax over time. It did take a long time but as you can see it did finally relax after our temperatures warmed up. “White” setting Cons: there is no soft/warm white and the white setting on the set is more like bluish-purple. I tried to get my pictures as close as I could but it doesn’t do it justice on how blue they are. They are definitely not white! The yellow setting is yellow and not warm white. All in all it’s a nice set but the lack of warm white or even a cool white along with it not remembering it’s brightness level might have been a deal breaker for me.

Love the variety of colors, and motions. So much brighter at night than I thought they would be, based on how thin it is. Running along the top of the fence, looks great. The remote has terrible range though. Must have direct line of sight to the end of the line where the receiver is, and even then, it only responds from about 5-6 feet. Too bad for this 1 issue, otherwise it would be amazing.

I bought these lights to put under my camper when I'm camping. I've had several compliments on how bright they are and they love that you can change the colors with the remote. I also love the timer on them as well. I can set it to turn off during the night and not have to worry about them still being on in the morning when I get up. Nice lights for the price!
