We bought a good quality fire pit that came with lava rocks. We preferred the blue glass look. I put a thin base of lava rocks in our pit, then topped with blue glass beads. My wife loves the appearance, and all of our guests have commented on how beautiful and relaxing the fire reflecting on the blue glass is as we sit watching it on our water-front deck. There are plenty of beads for our 30” round pit.

Purchased these for our outside enclosed porch gas fireplace. They are perfect and are so colorful. When the fire reflects on them it looks like the ocean. Love them.

Added these rocks to the ones sent for my new firepit; these a little more pretty, but the mixture of the rocks is beautiful. Have not had a chance to use the pit yet because of rain, so I can't rate that feature.

 Dark and intense cobalt blue creates images of a blue ocean and cloudless summer. The way the flowers reflect light is truly remarkable, resulting in an ever-changing play of color that moves in time with the flames and the effect on the viewer’s emotions is nothing short of spectacular. I was worried about the installation at first, but it ended up not being as difficult as I expected. Pouring the half-inch bead was easy, once they got to the bottom of the fireplace without going I was shocked to see where the 19 pounds went because it covered the entire pit evenly and generously if it is covered with a lid that hides the heat nicely And I do because I was amazed at how far 19 pounds go. The ability of these fire crystal flowers to create a very pleasant atmosphere is where the flowers’ true charm lies. These flowers produce a consistent and vibrant flame unlike the spectacular flames and smoke usually produced during traditional wood burning which is as pleasing as it is surprising if due to the nature of the flowers, it evolves so they act as the main attraction for everyone. They are untouched and look as clean as the day I installed them, making general maintenance easier. In addition to the details of the fireplace, I have found them to be great for other decorative uses, such as filling a vase or making an eye-catching centerpiece Cobalt blue makes a bold statement and casts an interesting element in any case.

I purchased a gas fire pit for my husband as an early Christmas present. While he loved the fire pit, he made a comment that it needed more of the "rocks" to make it look full. I found this 10# bag of "1/2 Inch Fire Glass Beads for Natural or Propane Fire Pit Fireplace" and ordered it. When they arrived, it made my husband very happy and he used part of the bag to fill in his fire pit. To say it looks lovely is totally accurate. We live in the South so we don't see much snow. We do, however, get chilly weather and enjoy sitting near our fire pit which is on our outdoor covered deck.

The glass beads are holding up very well. No cracking, chipping, etc. We've been using them daily (sometimes twice each day) for about three weeks now. We are very pleased with them and I would recommend them to anyone in need of them for your fire pit.
