    Gudsunal Countertop Dishwasher is a fairly light weight portable dishwater - it’s about 30 pounds and it’s pretty simple to set up. I did not hook it up to the faucet as I live in an apartment and I didn’t want to mess with the plumbing. So I used the tank version. If you don’t use the tank version you don’t need to place the tank underneath the dishwasher which will give save you about an inch or two clearance.

    This does not fit under my cabinets as it is just a little too high, so what I did was put it on a stand. The tank has a little filter that you plug into the back of the tank and then into the unit itself. It’s just a tiny little piece, and I wish they would give us more of those because that could like be easily lost when you’re cleaning it. It also comes with the faucet hose, so if you wanted to hook it up to the faucet you can and then you have the drain hose.

    The drain hose has a small suction cup and I plan on getting a few more, as the drain hose is pretty stiff and when it has water going through it, I’m always afraid it’s gonna whip out of the sink. This does take a lot of water if you use the tank - it holds 7 L and I find you do need to use all 7 L for a wash. It does come with a cup that has 2 1/2 L so plan on filling that cup up three times and pouring it into the tank.

    You need to have the dishwasher on while you’re filling up the tank as it will tell you when it’s full. One of the confusing aspects of this unit is that if it runs out of water, it will stop and beep at you. The warning light says faucet, which was confusing to me at first, because I don’t have it hooked up to the faucet.

    Once I read the instructions and the error messages, I realized that that was just a universal error message and that the unit needs more water. This does have several modes of washing times - there’s the rapid which is 35 minutes, an intense mode for two hours, an eco for 1.5 hours, and you can also wash fruits and veggies in this as well. The different times are based on how dirty your dishes are.

    I have used both the rapid and intense cycles and it did clean really nicely. It’s very quiet - it’s not that loud and it just deposits the water into your sink.

    You need make sure that the that the filter inside the dishwasher is clear, so when the water comes up from the tank, it has a clear pathway into the main dishwasher.I had some food stuck down in there and it kept beeping at me, saying it was out of water but it wasn’t. I just had a blocked filter. So far, I’m giving this a positive review.

    Any issues I had with it was a learning curve for me and wasn’t a problem with the machine. It’s a little bit bigger than I anticipated, but next time I just have to learn to measure things properly. This is great if you don’t have a dishwasher in your home, or you have an RV - someplace where you just don’t have the space for a full dishwasher. Some apartments do not come with dishwashers, so this is a nice little unit. It doesn’t hold a lot. I would say it can hold like three plates, a couple of the bowls and a couple of cups. It also comes with a removable cutlery holder, so you don’t always have to have that in there and you can make room for more dishes.

    Bruno helped me figure out how to use the machine. I appreciated the review about using a bucket to drain the water when you use the water tank. I did have issues filling the tank, and it still read faucet when I added more it overflowed. When I get this set up properly, it will work better for me sitting on top of my box freezer, because it is. a little large for the counter space and the height of my cupboards I do highly recommend this dishwasher because of its capacity to clean at a high temperature. and it dries well.

    I like the rapid setting and I love the heated clean dishes. It makes them sterile. It cleans better than a full size dishwasher. I live alone and I fill up the dishwasher every other day. It's perfect. I add very hot water and the dishes come out very clean on the rapid setting which is 35 minutes. I love using it, it's just fun to wash the dishes get washed. and I have not had any dishes come out unclean because I'm a master packer...make sure each dish and silverware have access to water and you're good to go!

    When I got this machine it looked like the box had been opened and resealed. I didn’t think much of it and decided to set it up and try it out. It failed to work in tank mode. Filled up with water from the tank but then have a “faucet’ message and stopped. I hit pause and start again and it seemed to work. I left for a few minutes but when I came back, it had stopped again and displayed the faucet symbol. In addition it was leaking badly at the bottom of the front door seal. I had to manually remove drain hose and rank to dump the rest of the water in the sink. Obviously a defective machine. I am returning it but it weighs about 40 pounds and is a real pain to schlep around.

    I was skeptical about adding a portable dishwasher to my incredibly tiny kitchen, fearing it would be more of a hassle than a help, but I have to say, using this dishwasher brought a pleasant surprise. It’s shockingly intuitive and rather easy to use. Thanks to its revolutionary detachable water tank, it’s a breeze to refill and clean whenever needed. The capacity, however, isn’t huge, especially if you have a large family – but if it’s just you and your partner, it’ll handle all your dirty dishes in a single cycle. From delicate wine glasses to food-encrusted dinner plates, I’ve put this dishwasher through the ringer, and the results have been consistently spotless. When I pull the dishes out, they are perfectly dry and ready to use. I appreciate the six wash settings, and the fact that there is no installation required is a huge bonus for me. Since I rent my tiny house, I needed something that would work right out of the box – and this was it. Definitely my new favorite household gadget.

    Plates that are over nine inches in diameter (in other words regular sized plates) won't fit very well in this machine. I bought the largest one I could find a nd looked at all of the reviews. Pictures showed people seemingly filling up this machine with all kinds of dishware, including regular sized plates, so I believed I could do the same. NOPE! Small plates, saucers, etc. work just fine, but this machine, for its' huge size, won't hold a lot of dishes. Don't be gulled by pictures here either like I did. It cleans OK though when you happen to be tired and just don't want to wash the dishes. But it takes up a lot of counter space.
