    I’ve been using the Frigidaire EFIC108-SILVER Ice Maker for a few weeks now, and it has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. This compact machine produces a good amount of ice quickly, which is perfect for gatherings, daily use, or even just keeping drinks cool throughout the day.

    The setup was simple—just add water and turn it on. It starts producing ice in about 6 minutes, and the small and large ice options are a nice touch depending on what I need. It’s also surprisingly quiet while running, and I love how compact it is—it fits easily on my countertop without taking up too much space.

    Another big plus is its sleek silver design, which looks great in any kitchen. I can easily store ice in the freezer for later use if needed, and cleaning the machine is straightforward.     This ice maker shocked me. Its cute and works really well. Its makes ice in like 8-10 mins really quick. Its easy to operate and comes with a scoop.Its does make a little noise but nothing annoying. Only thing they sent wrong color but its not gonna be out all the time so no big deal. I would recommend this product.

    Our ice maker in our freezer went out and we had been dealing with ice cube trays for awhile. They are a pain and I don’t know how my mom did it for so long. I ordered this countertop ice maker and it makes ice quickly and efficiently. It is a bit noisy, but we are not sitting in our kitchen much anyway. I highly recommend.

    I bought this one (because it is red!!) after I bought one from Costco and decided to get one for my office. The thing that sucked was it wouldn’t make ice at all. It kept saying it was out of water even when the basin is full. I spent several days and a ton of time researching the issue and decided to fix it myself. There was a problem with either the water line or the sensor. It now works great but I couldn’t get the case back on perfectly and now one side is sticking out a bit. Outside of that this little ice maker works fast makes a ton of ice and is better than the one in my fridge. A word of warning DO NOT PUT THE ICE TRAY IN THE DISHWASHER! I did this and the stupid thing warped and shrank up. Also the ice scope sucks. I bought a metal one that has a round tip and it is some much better. The scope that comes with the machine barely gets any ice and ends up knocking more out of the tray than getting it in the scope.

    Our fridge's ice maker went out and we were desperate. I bought this little unit about a month ago and it is an absolute workhorse! It's just great. While it's just the two of us in the house, this made plenty of ice for about a day and a half. Because I always seem to be in the kitchen cooking, it's easy for me to empty the little container of ice into our "broken" ice maker and let the Frigidaire make more. I could see how families with children could even use this to help supplement their ice needs for parties or large dinners. This ice can easily be bagged and slipped into the freezer for use later. This unit is just terrific! We are getting our ice maker replaced, but we're gonna keep this little unit. Our grown kids have seen it and love it. They wanna use it, too!

    We needed an ice maker in our RV, and this machine does the trick! I can make a 10 lb bag of ice within the day. It has two settings for small cubes and larger cubes. Is not too loud. It's a little work-horse!

    UPDATE as of July 2020 -

    We ended up having to move last year, so only used this ice maker for about two months before packing it back up in its original packaging for a local move. It didn't get UNpacked until three months ago. We plugged it back in, ran a few rounds of lemon water through it to clean out the tubes, and got it going. Things seemed fine. It wasn't even as noisy as it was before. We only use bottled water in it, as our area has pretty hard water. But then last week, it suddenly decided it wasn't going to make ice any more. It was giving us the "add water" error message, even though it was full. We tried turning it off and back on several times. We also completely unplugged it, hoping that might reset whatever had gone wrong.
    Nope.
    Dead ice maker.

    So, we got LESS THAN SIX MONTHS' use from this ice maker. I don't know if it was just a lemon (you can read my original review...it never sounded right, and I never got a response from Frigidaire), or if this company makes extra-cheap machines. I am beyond disappointed in this. I need an ice maker and now can't afford to replace this one, with so little use on it.
    Not happy.

    We've had two other ice machines over the last decade. We keep this upstairs. I am partially disabled and don't have the mobility to run to the kitchen fridge. These machines help me have cold drinks and fill ice bags.

    I love the color on this one. We've not had the Frigidare brand before, but most of these portable ice makers are the same and just have a different label slapped on them. It is pictured in the photo (decal was ours, they do not come thay way).

    This is making ice ok for now, but I am SERIOUSLY concerned about how long it will last! We have NEVER had one that sounded like it was on its last leg, gasping and grunting to get the water up into the freezing compartment! It grunts and grinds so loudly, it makes the overflow tray on our keurig coffee maker (maybe 1-1/2 to 2 feet from the ice maker) shake! It is like a mini earthquake when it pumps water up! I KNOW this is not normal. At first, we thought the coffee pot was dying and grunting, as we listened from the other room. Nope...it was this ice maker.

    I would like to see either the seller or manufacturer step up and replace this machine for us. We bought it new, not a refurb. Very disappointed in this unit so far. But I can no longer afford to just get a different one. ????

    I used to hate the ice cubes that I got from my freezer as it smells like food. LOL! This ice maker makes ice cubes quickly without the unpleasant smell. Since I prefer ice cubes that won't melt quickly, I keep the setting at "Large". The first couple of batches of ice cubes dispensed are usually on the thin side. I drop them back into the water container and let the ice maker makes thicker ice cubes. Each cycle is about 7.5 to 8 minutes.
