I did an upgrade from the crappy pump that came with the birdbath to the ASITIN 3.5 volt fountain pump, and what a difference !!!!! Absolutely amazing. And the variety of nozzles that you can attach to make all of the different sprays makes it super easy to change the spray patterns . Also the 3 spokes keeps the pump centered in the birdbath. Truly a very neat little gadget. Now I have to see how it will hold up during the long, hot summers. ASITIN also does have some higher end pumps that you might be interested in.
I think that the next model that I buy will be the one that has different colors that will underlite the fountain stream , which it is able to do because it does have a battery that is charged by the photocell which enables it to pump for a few hours after dark . So far , I am really impressed with it's performance . So go ahead and buy one for your sweetie , it's cheaper than a darn case a beer !!!!!! And NO I DON'T have a vested interest in ASITIN . You definitely won't be sorry . Joe P.
