The previous owner of our place installed a metal awning that was functionally sound, but when he painted the house neglected to use a tarp. The awning was covered in paint splatters, many thick, that had baked on over numerous summers. Even though outside I didn't want to handle a commercial grade super caustic stripper. Yes, they work faster, but I like to stay away from strong, fumy chemicals. ("Fumy" is a valid Scrabble word btw.)
So I applied this stuff, and covered with a cheap plastic painting tarp overnight...like the directions mention. Next day, voila, the paint splatters scraped off like a hot knife through butter. Applied a fresh coat of paint and the awning looks like new.
