When I ordered this, for the price, I was expecting some flimsy, gimmicky thing that, while not great, would get the job done if I put some effort into it.

What I got feels like a professional-grade product. The brush itself is sturdy, and stood up to the beating my drill gave it. The connector rods are this Goldilocks mix of strong enough to take the abuse, but flexible enough to bend its way through a pipe corner 15 feet away. The connections between rods are strong and stable. I don't know why some reviewers felt the need to tape them-- unless you put your drill in reverse (which you are explicitly warned not to do) those things aren't gonna come apart.

For my use, I took off the outside cover of my dryer vent, and stuck in the hose of my shop-vac and turned it on. I then went inside and ran the brush all the way through the vent until it hit the shop vac hose, and then pulled it back out. After it was done, I shined a flashlight into the vent to look, and it seriously looked like I had just had a professional duct cleaner service it. I was very impressed.

The only thing I disliked about this is it really doesn't work well as a 1-person job. With multiple people, you could potentially connect the brush to your preferred length, and while one person holds the drill, the other people help guide the brush through the vent. Doing this by myself, it wasn't really feasible to hold my drill and try to guide a brush head located 20 feet away. I ended up connecting 3-feet worth of length, drilling the brush mostly into the vent, disconnecting the drill, unscrewing the drill-bit, screwing on 3 more feet of length, screwing back on the drill-bit, and repeat 4 times for the length of my vent. It was really time consuming and annoying, but its not really a problem with the product itself. I'm not willing to pay $500 for some telescoping brush, so I'm not going to get one.

As a final bonus, simply connecting the brush to a single rod works as a great drill scrub-brush attachment that I was able to use to clean a variety of other things around the house with as well. So with a little creativity, you're getting more than just a dryer vent cleaner.

Can't comment enough how impressed I am with this. 5 stars.

It was easy to put together and worked great for cleaning the dryer vent. It was a little hard to remove the extension pieces but with some pliers it was easy to remove.

They screw together easily, and there's 2 different brushes (I have the top-down lint trap, where I used the thin brush). The larger brush was able to go all the way out of the house - through the exit flap and back in. The extensions flexed as much as I needed. I didn't have any 90 degree angles though. I noticed places in the vent ducts where I had to spend more time with the big brush, because the lint stuck more. The brushes got it though and a shop vac (with double hoses) got everything. I had to manually clean the flap, though. I haven't had it long enough to rate sturdiness. Wait til I clean my chimney!

Used this on our dryer vent duct and cleaned it very well. Product was easy to dit together and very flex able, made a 90 degree turn with it.

This thing actually worked pretty good and got my vents clean... However the problem with it is it's very hard to unscrew the pieces once you screw them in you have to have two pairs of pliers to do it. Otherwise you can't get a good enough grip to unscrew it. And when you use those pliers to do it it dense them all up and makes sharp indentations in them. One thing to take note of, do not wear gloves, especially rubber gloves while using this. When spinning it will grab the gloves and twist them right around the shaft locking your hand in place and possibly injuring you.

I have two dryers and have been having to replace thermisters and High Temp Fuses, still clothes would take too long to dry. After seeing this product on TikTok, I realized I may have a clogged vent. I was just before calling a repairman to service my dryers since I was at my wits end. I purchased this tool and WOW, I was amazed how much lent came out of it. I could fill at least two gallon jugs. After cleaning out my vents, my dryers are working perfectly. I love the fact that you can keep adding the stems as long as you need and I didn't have to use but half of them. It was easy to assemble and use. You just have to watch and keep the lines relatively straight or it will coil up on you in a heartbeat. One stem twisted so bad that I had to throw it away - I won't miss it. This was a user issue, not the product. I would recommend this tool for anyone who has dryer vents that runs to the side of the house. This is not needed for those who vents their lint underneath the house.

After looking at local brick and mortar stores for a brush to clean my dryer vents, I came up empty. I had already purchased a set of interlocking rods for $20 in a prior year but was unable to find the correct size brush to clean my vents. Amazon to the rescue! Not only did I get a nice set of brushes, but I also got another good set of interlocking rods to use to clean the vent which was about 25 feet (don't ask, the builder was an idiot and decided to take the run underneath the entire kitchen). I attached the brush to the rods and the rods to my drill with the handy adapter included and was cleaning the vents in minutes. I was amazed at the amount of flammable lint came out and how clean the ducts became. Now I can settle into a yearly routine because I have all of the needed equipment. No more premature damage to the heating element of my dryer.
