***edited review 10/25/24. The Company reached out to me after I submitted my original review of the blue bag and provided a full refund. I believe they are an excellent company. (I had also purchased Lakanto’s red bag of granulated monk/erythritol and it tastes sweet like regular sugar.) I hope they will try to reformulate the powdered version to make it taste sweet.

Original Review: This review is for the Powdered Lakanto (light blue bag). The good: no aftertaste, not bitter. The bad: not sweet. I feel I wasted my money.

Excellent Alternative to Sugar

i’ve been using this product for years, but I can’t always get it in the supermarket or I forget to purchase it so buying it from Amazon has made it easy. I live the taste; sweet with no chemical aftertaste.
I primarily use it for my coffee, but will also toss it in lieu of sugar for baking or to add a bit of sweetness to any recipe that calls for sugar.

Trying this product is how I learned I'm sensitive to sugar alcohols! Very uncomfortable side effects after consumption. I agree with everyone that it tastes great and is a great substitute for brown sugar, but only if you aren't sensitive to sugar alcohols. Trust me, you'll know if you are soon after trying it!

At first you might think this sweetener is pricey. But have you looked at the price of sugar substitutes in the store? I am diabetic and use this for baking and flavoring my plain yogurt. What I love about this is that there are not unknown chemicals and an after taste with this sweetener. Like other sugar substitutes that can raise my blood sugar because the body reacts like it is sugar. This does not. I wouldn't use it to sprinkle cookies or anything like that but it is great for baking things like banana breads or muffins.
